Caffeine Free??

Ask a Question

Coke and Pepsi should be applauded for bringing out the caffeine free range. It’s definitely the better option for me as it means I can give the kids a glass and not panic about them getting a good nights sleep. I also don’t notice any difference in the taste.

What is your go to from Pepsi/coke? Normal or caffeine free?

I love pepsi max with lime so if they do caffeine free one of them I'd give it ago

Leannexxx I haven’t tried the lime on yet, but it sounds lovely. Will have to pick one up next time I’m out

But the massive amount of sugar in those drinks would be just as bad as the caffeine. A sugar high makes kids active. Unless it is diet or max but then the jury is still out on whether those sweeteners are carcinogenic.

Lynibis I normally get the zero or max type, but you are right. I’ve heard the sweeteners might pose a problem

Lynibis lol I hope there is nothing wrong with sweeteners as I don't have sugar in anything 😄

Leannexxx have a google, there are many different types. I use half spoon which is normal sugar but you only need half as much. It is twice the price but lasts twice as long.

Coke have had a Caffeine free version for years as I remember my mum drinking it when I was a teenager, that was 18 years ago. My mother in law also drinks it as she isn't allowed a lot of caffeine and sometimes she just wants a drink of coke so it means she can have it.

MrsCraig I didn’t know this. I have only seen it the last few years, and it has been quite sparse in the shops until lately

Pepsi is my favourite drink, it has to be the normal version, I have tried all the others, they just don't taste the same

PayItForward i drink a lot of tea and found i wasn’t sleeping at night. Coming off caffeine did give me an almighty headache for about three weeks. But if i have a can of ‘normal’ coke I’m like a kid on the ‘bad’ e numbers lol

Won't drink any Pepsi because it's full of artificial sweeteners.

I would drink full sugar Coke, but I've boycotted it

TheChimp Are you a secret left winger who put your principle before buying (almost) anything? I'm sorry to inform but Coke Cola is the number 1 brand of soft drink throughout the world. They (Coke Cola) have factories in almost all parts of the world giving employment to millions of people and that impresses me (the) most.

I have no time or patience for humanitarian or political reasons in denying myself anything.

Um no thanks I'd rather have caffeine. I dint function without it. I don't drink coke or peosi after one of the kids asked to have my coke I said no they wasn't allowed it. Said child asked why I was drinking it and if I could have it so could they. So I stopped around them as it was actually a really good point

I quite like the Pepsi Max caffeine free but its a bit of a chemical concoction to be honest but at least it tastes nice but not quite as nice as the Pepsi Max with caffeine.
