Cheapest Place to Buy Pumpkins

Ask a Question

Hi All

Has anyone seen any deals on pumpkins this year. Was going to get a couple but would like to get them for a good price. Only been to Lidl at the moment. Just wondered if anyone has seen them in other shops.

I've not seen any yet tbh but saying that I haven't been going out regular and not really something I look for. I'd assume Aldi/Lidl would be the cheapest

My local Morrisons have 'ghost' ones for a pound, slightly smaller than a football. Last week they had orange ones for same price.

They usually get cheaper the closer we get to halloween - I’m sure loads get thrown out as they don’t all get bought

My daughter grew them last year and did very well but they do take up a lot of space. No so much the pumpkin but all the vine it grows on. It was all over the place.

Supermarkets are generally the cheapest, A local farm by me has a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own, but in previous years have been far more expensive than the Supermarkets.

We always get ours from Aldi, I haven't seen the prices yet though for this year, normally a couple of quid

Most supermarkets will have a great reduction prices in the middle of October or maybe closer to the end of the month or they may have already started

I've not seen any in shops yet. Seen farms selling them local to me. If you're going to make something with the insides you're better off getting one from a farm as they taste better

I went to Morrisons today and they had them in. Think they were £1 or £3 for large one or £7 for extra large one

Saver1 when I make soup I just fire stuff in.

I used pumpkin, onion, stock, double cream (little), salt and pepper to taste, I think I put some garlic in also
