Cheesemakers in Shock as £300,000 of Produce Stolen in Sophisticated Scam

In the News

This is not the normal product you expect scammers to steal, it's normally money from your bank account or other normal every day items

But these thieves thought of a 'whey' to acquire 22 tonnes of cheese , and although it wasn't 'steal ton' , they did get away with £300,000 worth of Hafod Welsh organic cheddar, Westcombe cheddar, and Pitchfork cheddar, all artisan cheeses and highly valued

I feel so sorry for the company , Neal's Yard Dairy ,they are only a small concern, i hope their insurance will cover this theft where the thieves gave false identities

I feel like with the recent news of prisoners being let out early and the police not bothering to go to many crime scenes especially shoplifting etc crime has quickly got a lot worse. There was recent news where I live that shoplifting has gone up a third in the last year, so a 33% increase? Staggering figure.

BonzoBanana I believe the same B, the criminals are less fearful of punishment now knowing the prisons are full and even if they get a fine most dont work, so the taxpayer pays it through their benefits , even if they break any sentencing terms, what will the courts do if the punishments dont work ?

Given that the police aren't interested in in what the perceive to be low level crime and people being let out early I'm not surprised to be honest

Seems everything is fair game in this lawless country, police and government are more interested in locking people up who dare to have a voice against the establishment
