Chester Zoo Released Thousands of Giant Spiders the Size of Your Hand
In the News
Chester zoo released thousands of spiders 10 years ago as the breed was in decline
Not a problem, except if you have arachnophobia , as these are giants
They estimate there are now more than 10,000 breeding females in circulation
So try to avoid their webs if you can and just stay on the www instead

I’m so pleased I’m long way from Chester. I’m surprised the zoo was allowed to release them.
I need to get a bigger lighter then coz I see them they are going up in flames why would they do that
That’s one thing I cannot stand is spiders always wanted to go Australia but those things over there are like the size of a 50” TV
Spiders don't bother me, but my wife and kids absolutely freak out when one runs across the floor lol
It's good news that they have been able to recover the population with a release program. I'm not the biggest fan of spiders but it was most likely due to human behavior that their population declined so I'm glad they were able to put that right somewhat
