Well this woman was definitely 'wingin' it when she stole £1.17 million worth of chicken wings from this school
And despite coming from Chicago , it wasn't pizza she fell 'foul' of , just chicken and the law
Vera Liddell was the school food service director and they had a scheme during the pandemic to give food to students studying remotely
The wings and other foods never got that far as she redirected them to herself
She must have either had a very big appetite for chicken or she sold them on to someone , i suspect the latter
But she wont be doing any finger lickin' for a good while now , just porridge for a few years
And she might not get many visitors coming on a 'flying' visit , but might still get some calls from Colonel Sanders , her number one fan

Blimey ! Now that is a lot of chicken wings !!!! Not that I’m a thief of any kind but if I were to steal something I think it would be something better than chicken wings !! Yuk !
It's like that scam years ago where someone rounded up bills by 1p at a bank and siphoned off that penny to their own account until it was eventually found out but a huge amount of money had been transferred I think. She may have sold it to local restaurants as school surplus food etc maybe she got 80% of its normal value or more. Such a weird story though as surely better food to sell on than these which are more short life. As ever I think all money should be reclaimed so if that means taking all her pension fund so be it. Other people should not pay for her crimes.
Taking food from children is disgusting. However I think wings are disgusting too, just bone and skin with barely a mouthful of meat, I guess that's all she was willing to steal.
It is appalling that we were in a global crisis and all some people seemed to do was seem an opportunity to line their own pockets. Glad she got a proper sentence.
