Rich me: theatre or concert trip with close family.

Poor me: a meal out at Toby or Harvester with close family.

Lynibis Loving your answer. For my 40th I was picked up at home in my wedding car and went to Mama mia in London.

Just a nice meal with my family we don't eat out at all because my partner doesn't like eating in front of people he never has

A warm summer evening in a European back street restaurant or beach with waves lapping with soft guitars in the background and kind cheerful company,

MelissaLee1 This sounds like my cup of tea. I love listening to the sound of waves, so relaxing especially if the weather is warm.

Just a nice meal with my family. I don't need anything fancy or expensive.

As I get older I’m not really interested in big parties. I’m happier with a meal at home with my nearest and dearest. I did splash the cash for my 40th and 50th.

Pjran I am not into big parties at all. My worse nightmare would be a surprise party. Prefer to celebrate with a very small group.

Cornwall during the summer, somewhere a little secluded, eating super fresh fish/chips/lobster and drinking champagne by the ocean 😃

My birthday's same day as Queen Victoria so coming up..

Last year I found out a few days before that my partner & I were both off so text him & asked if we could go away for the day ..

We went to Nottingham & really enjoyed it, had a birthday lunch in Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem pub a walk around Nottingham, photo with Brian Clough' Statue & a drink in the Raglan Rd Irish Bar but hardly any Irish Music on!

Train & taxi home then a video call from our Student Radiographer daughter in Bradford my partner lit the birthday cake our daughter had made me, brought it in to me singing Happy Birthday To You. He took photos of me blowing candles out then I opened cards & presents..

On our way to Cemetery on my Mum's birthday 3 days after mine to put flowers on her grave partner did a de tour to Sheffield Railway Station & appeared with our daughter, her online meeting had ended earlier that morning so she had made plans with her Da to collect her from the Station & then she could join us visiting her late Nanan's Grave. Daughter & her Da had also booked Ego Mediterranean Restaurant for my birthday meal that night, I got all my meal FREE as they had 3 courses, found an Email so used the offer!

While we were visiting her Nanan, Grandad & late Uncle's Graves our daughter found out she had passed all her Radiography Exams so double celebration!!

I love to spend time with my family, so a nice meal and birthday cake and then I enjoy the evening to chill out when they've all gone home and I can have a little drink and some chocolate.

On holiday whether UK or abroad. I always try and go somewhere even if just a day out. I'm not a fan of parties so this is my idea of a great birthday

KirstyWhit29673 I am totally the same. I usually manage to get abroad somewhere hot. It’s December as well so miss the cold weather, result.

My partner always likes to be away for his birthday so that's when we take our holiday..

In 2014 we stayed in a Premier near Swords, Dublin for 5 days so we could show our daughter County Longford where my late Dad's from,I actually found my late Auntie in a local Nursing Home after stopping off in Lanesbrough, County Longford & asking a local lady who pointed me towards shops & 2 local shop keepers Margarita & Joe helped locate her.

I hadn't seen her in 37 years since I was a teenager,we spent 2 hours with her,had photos taken by the staff who couldn't do enough for us..

The following day we travelled over to Portadown & each member of my partner's family were out when we tried to surprise them.My partner rang & spoke to a few including his brother & sister, later that night we went out for a meal with his sister as it was my partner's birthday...That's why it was so special to visit his family who live in Northern Ireland as he only sees them every few years!

That year instead of going abroad we stayed in an Edinburgh Premier in April & a Premier in Cardiff in Oct as well as Dublin Premier in Aug!

I'd love to spend it on a sandy beach, somewhere hot, cocktail in hand, and a dip in the clear blue ocean when I get too hot.

TractorGirl327 This sounds amazing. Where would you choose if money was no object? Who would you be with? This is just for fun so you can pick anyone.

I’d like to go to one of those huts above the ocean in a place like the Maldives or Mauritius. On my own … bit of peace and quiet!!!!
