Christmas Gift Ideas for 16 Year Old Boy?

Ask a Question

Looking for some ideas for a 16 year old.

He's into Pokémon and he does have a lot of stuff already and we've already purchased stuff like packs etc.

He's got a Nintendo switch and has a lot of games and we've got a few new ones for Christmas.

We've also purchased him a brand new iPad.

He doesn't want a phone as we've asked and he said it's not something he's bothered about.

Just struggling on what else to maybe get him as we feel like although the value is there with what's been spent there's not a lot of variety/options other than the iPad, video games and Pokémon cards 🤷

New ipad and Switch games seems pretty generous in itself. Always nice to have a surprise gift that he isn't expecting although maybe he isn't expecting the presents you have already got. Maybe some sort of Pokemon merchandise, a little statue, soft toy etc. If he has a favourite Pokemon character look for that.

Does he have any hobbies except gaming or the use of an ipad? Is he Into football? Latest home team shirt, etc. Does he own a bike, a cycle or a mountain bike etc? If so, gadgets for the bike. Does he support a football team? Memorabilia etc. Does he like sports clothes? There are lots of things you can get for him. How about trainers or cologne? Clothes. A gift card for sports direct as an example. Is he Into camping/the great outdoors? What about a gift experience & days out voucher which you see at ASDA normally In front of the checkouts for an example. Lots of options.

How about start giving him some money to put into premium bonds or gift vouchers.

Tell me about it, grandson is 16 tomorrow. Luckily my son knew some sports/footie clothing he wanted and ordered them for me. I have given him the money and wrapped so now I only have to worry about Christmas🤔

You could open a bank account for him and everyone who asks what to get him just transfer some money. It’s safer than buying vouchers.

What about any of these experiences. Junior Supercar. Paintball day. Falconry. Glider trip. Flying lesson taster. Clay shooting. Indoor Sky Diving. Helicopter trip. Go-ape challenge. Escape Room.
