When Was the Last Time You Went to the Cinema?

Other

I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to the cinema to watch a film. Used to go more regularly when I was younger. When was the last time you went to the cinema? What did you you watch? What interests you in regards to new releases?

Last month. Went to see A quiet place day one. Loved it. Cinema was overpriced though and no option to pay in cash

It was so long ago I can't remember. I want to go and see Gladiator 2 on the big screen but tbh I am not hearing many good things about it. Cinema is so expensive these days and they wonder why seats aren't full.

I went to watch the latest planet of the apes film which was ok. I’m lucky in that i can go to star city and it’s £5.99 per ticket no matter the time, the cinema close to me though is like £13 a ticket.

I use the sky rewards free tickets as well which is good

Last I went would have been to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That was over six and a half years ago. Cinema is so expensive these days so needs to be something I really want to see. Took our son to the community cinema a few weeks ago, was £3 for the 3 of us and the snacks were all under a pound.

MrsCraig wow 🤩 that’s amazing price for the 3 of you! What film 🍿 did you go see? I haven’t been since 2021 a friend treated me for my birthday

Yes cinema really expensive what’s the point going?! As then you can stream most films online either for free or from paying a subscription

kitty88uk we went to see Disney Cars as it is our sons favourite film. It was really good value. We watch lots of films at home on Netflix, so much cheaper.

MrsCraig that’s very good price! For a Disney film 🍿yeah I’ve seen it and the sequel too haha 😆 yeah there’s so many on both Disney+ and on Netflix both don’t have as have virgin media TiVo box, I do watch films online for free lol 😝

kitty88uk we've seen all 3 Cars films numerous times, plus the TV show as they are our sons favourite. We had Disney+ when we got it free for 6 months with O2.

MrsCraig oh there’s a third one?! Had no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t keep up with films and their sequels lol 😝

Oh is that so! I think I had that offer too but didn’t bother with it. Did you get it to watch on your phone?

kitty88uk yeah there are 3 of them. First and third are definitely the best ones but the second is good too. We were able to watch it on the TV and on our phones. Husband would be watching Star Wars downstairs on the TV and Son would be watching Cars upstairs on my phone.

MrsCraig I see too many Disney films 🍿 keeps coming out, there’s Moana 2 too! Haven’t seen Wish yet. Cool 😎 but you had be make sure to cancel it after 6 months, how did you do that, online or have to talk to someone? Cause I’m sure you have to added card details even though you get those few months for free as after that it automatically charges you right?

kitty88uk I never needed to add my card details. I got a code from them which I put in when I activated in and it automatically stopped working on the date the 6 months ran out.

I like going to the cinema. Our local has a bar so people take their drinks in, then I smile to myself when men with their pints have to go to the loo 😂

I frequently go to the cinema. The last time I went was yesterday to watch Alien: Romulus. It was just OK. Unfortunately, it covered a lot of familiar ground.

This has made me think …! I haven’t been to the cinema in years. I’m not really a film buff but if I remember rightly I went to see Peter Rabbit with my granddaughter when it first came out

Was a few years ago and it was a birthday treat from best friend we went to see a Marvel’s film 🍿 called Shang-Chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings! Great 👍🏻 film!!

Now don’t see the point cause it’s too expensive, waste of money as now all films will be available to stream online! I have watched a few films for free

The last I went to the cinema it was in Sydney, Australia. My daughter wanted to see a marvel film before it was released in the uk, before her brother could see it.

Very time ago, 2017 Churchill played by Toby Jones. Since 2018, I’ve developed progressively getting worse Trigeminal Neuralgia so cinemas are a no-go, which is a shame but at least films do come on the normal television.

Yesterday to watch aliens Romulus.

Luckily our cinema is quite cheap (£8.65 per adult in luxury recliner seats) and eat afterwards for dinner. Make it a proper afternoon/evening out.

It's probably been 6 years now. I don't remember what I watched and not many new releases interest me. Storylines, acting abilities and directing are often poor quality these days 🙄

2019 to see Rambo: Last Blood. I do wish I'd have seen Joker on cinema (I read Joker 2 will be a musical... I hope not).

There just haven't been that many good movies to see on the big screen.

Watched Twisters a few weeks ago at home and really enjoyed it, but it was only when Glen Powell showed up (the rest of the cast I couldn't care less).

Went on Monday to see Deadpool & Wolverine , very weak storyline , but an enjoyable film just the same .

For those that haven't been for a while this Saturday 31st August is National Cinema Day , many Cinemas are offering tickets for £4 each , this includes Cineworld , Odeon & Vue.

I went to see The Phantom Menace last week and am watching Attack of the clones tomorrow and the new Beetlejuice movie Friday.
