Which Closed down Shop Would You Bring Back?

Ask a Question

Hi everyone 👋

If you could bring back any shop that went bust, which one would you choose?

I'd bring back Woolworths just for the nostalgia. I loved going there as a kid to run off and look at the toys and beg for pick and mix.

Blockbuster! Used to love that store. Probably easier online now though 😆

Without a doubt it would have to be Woolworths, it was one of them shops that sold everything and if you just went in for a browse you always come out with something. When I was a teenager (many years ago) the Woolworths that I went to also had a cafe upstairs where we'd all meet up. 🤣

I agree, definitely Woolworths. It didn't matter what you were after they would have it.

People have mentioned C & A. Funnily enough, every year my family holiday in Germany and they have loads of C&A stores.

The 99p shop. I know that Poundland took it over, but I liked buying things at only 99p, although I’m sure they’d have to raise their prices

Manchester are opening a new Blockbuster themed bar - shame it's not Woolies! But it's a pretty cool idea confidentials.com/manchester/blockbusters-nq-new-bar-opening?id=627ba025e41c4

I do miss Woolworths for the pick n mix but that was the only thing that I really bought from there. I liked C&A for the clothes when I was younger so would like to browse in there again. We only used blockbusters occasionally so probably wouldn't use it if it opened again.
