Are you planning a trip to the Cinema this Summer?
I just looked at tickets for the barbie film and for two adults and one child it's £43.50 (and that;s with buying online which is less than paying on the door they say)
I used to be a regular cinema goer but the price is now prohibitive, especially if you make it a night out with meal and/or drinks.
its ridiculous isnt it. sometimes groupon do cheap tickets. we always have the odeon limitless tickets. £15 a month per person it is so worth it if you enjoy the cinema

I went to see the new Mission Impossible film yesterday. Adult tickets were £19.45 each. When you purchase tickets online there is usually an additional booking fee. (Unless you have a cinema membership).
I personally haven’t paid for a cinema ticket in years. I am not a real fan of the cinema so if anyone wants me to go with them, they pay for the ticket.

Binny61 Wow! I have never seen this programme but googled it. I only said I get free cinema tickets. This man Tam really goes for it to get freebies. Even scamming people, definitely not me. I might see if I can find this on catch up on tv seems a good watch.
eyeballkerry You'll really enjoy it. One of the best comedy series' ever made. Once you've got used to the Glaswegian accent you're fine. Sorry..a bit exaggerated comparing you with Tam but you'll love his character too. All the best.
The cinema is now such a high expense that we only used to go if we had vouchers.
But my partner has just got health insurance with Vitality from his work and if we gain enough points doing exercise then we both get a cinema ticket each, plus one for our child! It’s a great incentive to keep fit and means we can treat ourselves to a family outing.
Depends where you live i think, i know it’s expensive to watch a film in london but round here we have a cinema where all tickets are £5.99 which isn’t bad.
I often use 3 mobile phone code costing just £3 for Friday to Sunday. Ask a few friends what network they’re on and I’m sure they’ll help.
Pjran I don’t know anyone on 3 mobile, we usually go on a meerkat voucher but to go for barbie, would be for someone’s birthday
Never go to the cinema iits to expensive. Can't afford it. It's a shame as I love the cinema
It might be worth joining your local odeon club if you have one near. They do saver tickets for £5, you can sign up for free.

just to note though, the tickets are from £5, and are only on selected showings - sadly not for the Barbie film when we’d be going

my nearest vue is 15 miles away sadly. depending on what area people are in, it can make getting any saving with discounted offers difficult
The cinema magnates have priced themselves out of the market.Not only are the majority out of town but car park charges are often the add-on.

I love going to the cinema but it is expensiv. I went to watch the Indiana Jones movie with my family. We brought popcorn and drinks it all came to £68.40
Haven't been to the cinema for about 7 years. My husband wants to see the new Napoleon film, but he will go by himself. Our local cinema has limited opening hours.
Go onto the meerkats insurance site, take out insurance for a day trip no more than a pound it will cost then sign up to meerkats movies and you’ve got 2 fa 1 tickets for a year

when we want to go on another day as it’s for a birthday, it means it’s way to expensive to go with these kinds of prices
I want to watch Sound of Freedom and that's about it, the rest pretty much sucks.
Indy 5 was painful to watch (no surprise).
If you don’t have a voucher or offer for cheaper tickets then it’s ridiculously priced and when the price is too high the risk of the film being complete garbage puts people off visiting.
