The Daily Routine One Woman is following to Try to Reach the Age of 150 Yrs

In the News

When i read this womans routine to try to prolong her life to 150 years i thought to myself no normal working class person could follow this

There is no way she could work away from home for a start,, although she says her husband does and he is taking part in this also

Only the elite could afford all the equipment like the faraday cage and other expensive items such as the food

The problem is there are so many other factors you need to be aware of besides keeping your body in tip top condition , some out of your control

It's all a load of nonsense, you've only got to look at Chris hoy for example who has terminal cancer, he would have lived his life as healthy as possible to be the sporting hero he was, we cannot control what is uncontrollable

martinlufc5637 agreed. Everyone has their time unfortunately, you can be fit as a fiddle and as you say, be like Chris hoy and it’s all gone. I’ve always said whether you’re black or white, fat or thin, rich or poor, we all end up the same regardless so just enjoy life and live it to the full

KateGriff169 people think they have control with their bodies, they think exercise and taking supplements that don't even work will lead to a longer life, cancer ect.. does not care if you exercise or eat celery, my mum for example was very health conscious, she got cancer twice

Couldn't find it in the link but I suspect she will spend several years of her life when you add up the time she will spend trying to stay here longer. Why? Well I suppose if you have money you'll have longer to spend it but I would hate to outlive my family.

Lynibis Also living nearly twice as long as we do now brings its own problems, longer pension payments and more health care to name two

Sure you could be hit by a bus or stick down by lightening. Fair play if they want to give it a bash - as long as they aren’t holding their breath

Our bodies aren't designed to live that long. They can't currently survive more than 120-130 years. Why not simply enjoy the time you have

telmel agreed if I could live to 150 reasonably fit with my kids still with me great. Unfortunately that wouldn't be the case for most.

If we all lived that long the retirement age would be around 135. I like my job but not that much

As a church volunteer I used to visiting a lady at 90+ who was still bopping on the lawn with her family and friends. She died a few years ago at 118..Faith and manner kept her going all the way,she was amazing! This Billionaire Bryan Johnson spends thousands of pounds every year to retain his youth and so far has done quite well.God forbid you spend all that money and then get hit by lightening or run over by a bus. When your time's up you just gotta let go and let God.

These are the lucky ones M, they may have good genes or just very lucky to have their health through a fitness regime or not, and as you say belief also pays a big part

If you are going to live long you'll do it no matter what you do. As some have pointed out chris hoy is fit and healthy and got cancer

Why would anyone want to live to that age anyway. You can’t control what happens in life . It’s not a case of how much you exercise or eat.. things in life are unpredictable/ uncontrollable.

Viruses appear to be a huge factor in the ageing process, the more exposed you are to viruses the more genetic corruption and ageing. Some people who have lived in more isolation seem to have improved lifespans. Also being colder can help too which has been shown in studies. There is some evidence that high levels of activity and fitness does slightly accelerate ageing because you damage muscles when you exercise and they are replaced with stronger muscles but those new muscles are a new generation of that muscle which may not have been replaced so quickly if you hadn't exercised. Each generation of growth tends to be slightly inferior and corrupted compared to the last generation. You can see this in your skin as you age, skin gets progressively worse with age and the same effect is happening internally but you cannot see it with your other organs. I don't think 150 will be achievable myself with a lifestyle change I think it will need new advanced medication to extend people's lifespans. It wouldn't surprise me if a drug became available that doubled the lifespan but whether the masses would be told about it is another matter. You never know such a drug may already exist but it may only be available to a handful of powerful and rich people.

In theory one way you could have a extended life drug is if you create a virus that implants your own DNA from lets say your sperm or egg which is a near perfect version of your DNA and use it to force the body to use that DNA information rather than your ageing corrupted DNA your body currently uses. Alternatively grow new organs from your own DNA or a clone and harvest it to replace your own organs except the brain of course. If you throw morality out of the window there are ways of extending your lifespan if you have enough money. If you created a clone body of yourself without a brain and harvested organs from it, how morally terrible is that? Alternatively perhaps transfer your brain into a clone young person of yourself? Maybe a old brain could have twice its normally lifespan transferred into a young body.

I don’t wish them any harm but they could develop MND or some other life threatening disease way out of their control.

I’m sure it’s doable, but you have to will it - I’m sure you get to an age where you do wonder why you’re the only one left…even vampires question their eternal youth and everlasting existences (although fictional, there’s a point to their fables)
