Are Day Spas worth the Money??
Ask a Question
Last year my husband and I forked out £200 to attend a day spa together. It’s not something we had done before, and we had heard good reports, so decided to give it a try.
The place looked beautiful. But when we got down to the spa area, it was overcrowded and we were having to wait 20 minutes to use certain facilities due to their being so many people!
To top it off, we both ended up getting athletes foot!
Are spas just germ pits? Do you feel they are overpriced?
Oh no that sounds nasty, I hope you complained in writing and gave bad advice review. I was given a spa day as a present for me and my friend to go Kensington Spa we had a lovely time and treatments.
LL81 I wasn’t going to complain initially, but after we got the athletes foot I phoned up and told them. We’d never had it before in our lives
Shame! I think they are overpriced generally (large overheads) and not the cleanest. Prefer to see my massage therapist (£60/hr) then go home and relax
Consumer I love a good massage. We recently bought a lazy spa so we can enjoy the spa experience at home lol. And we will clean it properly
They’re generally expensive in the UK, as with most things. I tend to go spas when on holiday
hspexy that’s a good idea. Probably better value abroad. I would just be wary about getting athletes foot again
Last time I went to a Spa was for my hen party 9 years ago. We had our own private room and our own private rooms for our therapies. The Spa only allowed a certain amount of people in at a time.
I do think they are overpriced for what you get. In some cases you can go to a hotel with the same treatments, and stay over, for the same price as a day at other spas.
