You will need to clean the tiles first. Make sure that you use bathroom paint otherwise the steam from the shower etc will strip the paint. Be careful of the grouting. It will probably take more coats than you think to cover the tiles properly. It will also depend on the texture and material of the tile as to whether it is worthwhile painting them.

Painting can work as long as you dont skimp on the paint - make sure its proper bathroom paint and apply it carefully and it should last. Stickers can look very tacky quite quickly.

You will need Tile paint to paint the tiles. Any other paint will come off. I don't think sticker rolls would work because of the amount of moisture in a bathroom. Have a look at Amazon or B&M might be cheaper than other places.

Leannexxx I suppose it depends what colour you want. On Amazon 750ml Johnstone's tile paint is £15:50 for pale grey or £17:58 for cream or white.

Can you not take the tiles off and replace them. If taken off carefully you can probably sell them or ecycle

Don't use normal Paint, use a proper tile paint from a good brand, I would personally remove it

I am not sure about DIY but I have same problem and my plumber has told me to think about wall panels. Not sure how easy for an amateur.

Just read your reply to another comment and it may be a good idea to go on YouTube for 'covering old tiles' or similar. Everyone always tells me to go to YouTube when I don't know how to do something😂
