Delivery Costs Should Always Be Included in Deals in My Opinion.
Latest Deals
I see it so often on latestdeals. A so called deal at a price you click through only to find no such deal exists as there is a huge chunk of postage on top not mentioned in the deal.
Like this deal for example;
That deal doesn't exist as when you click through there is £5 postage on top so over £18. I bought a similar drill for £25 with 2x2Ah battery packs which to me is a much better deal. I would always include postage costs in deals as its the honest and factual way of listing a deal. I mean just over £13 to over £18 is close to a 50% increase in price over what is displayed.
All I can assume is the site gets some sort of income just for clicking through as its clearly misleading and disappointing when you realise it's a fake deal. I instantly close the page and would vote down such a deal.
If you went into a shop and it said £10 on the shelf but was £14 at the till would you accept it?
I do understand where it is Amazon there is some debate about listing postal prices as non prime members pay but prime members don't but even there I would make it clear there was free postage for prime members only and postage to pay for non prime members if under the free postage minimum amount.
Personally if you always have to pay postage like that onbuy deal I would just include it in the price anyway.
