DIY Fix

Whats everyones tipple in DIY. Currently rewiring and sorting a garage and turning it into a gym. Trying to find the extra 20 or 30 minutes to complete by myself. Then onto the garden for composite decking. Cant get enough myself and have saved £1000s over the years by not paying for tradesmen to do.
Saving cash is great, but folks need to be careful not to mess up wiring as that could be dangerous.
Yesterday, I cleaned our chimney (from the inside/bottom to the top) as it was safer and now the air flows freely whereas before it was blocked and it'd spread through the living room (not always). You could say it's easy (it's just cleaning), however, you'll get very dirty and even after a shower there may still be dirt, so a quick wash won't remove it straight away.
I did use a mask, but it was one of those stupid paper masks that do nothing so everything went through.
The chimney brush + long handles cost me about £20ish so rather than pay someone for it (it'd likely cost double or triple), I just did it myself and got used to how it works.
PhilipMarc it’s always satisfying when you’ve done the job yourself. My husband bought brushes years ago after our regular bloke retired.
