Does Anyone Remember the Old Product Dispensers We Used to Have ?
Other
I saw this beech nut chewing gum dispensing machine on social media and it reminded me of all the other machines we used to see on the street at one time
There used to be one dispensing milk
Do you remember any others ?
I remember one for Murray Mints outside the sweet shop and for chocolate at the train station.
We have a vending machine in the area that sells milk and milkshakes. I would have bought a milkshake from there, but the operators couldn't tell me whether it contained dirty sweeteners.
TheChimp I used to love the murray mint jingle TC
Im a bit young for those ones I think. I remember the old cigarette machines in the pubs though
I only remember the chewing gum machines, there was one at the bottom of our street when we were kids, you couldn't have them today, someone would rip it off the wall within a day, I definitely don't remember the milk ones
martinlufc5637 I managed to find out where the one in the picture was possibly from M, Abergele
The person says he remembers one exactly the same and another poster near the bottom of the page mentions having a chip vending machine there also, no mention of the fish though

They actually still sell them today in Europe or you can buy one on ali express
I remember the dairy milk dispensing machine, think was at train station platform. Kinda remember having a draw you pull out.. ( size of 4 finger kitkat )
LL81 I was always afraid of missing the train using the machines on the train platform L, if you were very hungry you would need to take a chance jumping off the train and back on before the train left
Now some trains have food and coffee onboard to buy , but it depends on the length of the journey and company
I used to have one too M, the problem was it had to be refilled every day and i never saved any money, just reused it
Scared to admit as it confirms you're more than likely getting old but yeah i remember them
I remember the awful hot chocolate machine and the swimming baths in the 70s. Weak and watery and in a tan plastic cup. Yuk!
dawarwick I worked in a bank that had this machine and we aren't talking the 70s but this century. Free for staff so they didn't haven't to buy actual tea or coffee but over time they did because it's a corporate place
Yes used to get bars of dairy milk after swimming from one of my local centres. It sold dairy milk and fruit and nut bars
