How Much Does the Ice Cream Van Cost You?

Well last year they ranged from £3.50 to £5, in Bridlington they were £5+, no idea this year, at these prices my kids won't be getting one, plenty of lollies ect.. on freezer

Very sadly I cannot remember the last time I saw an ice cream van, it's all gellato and posh ice cream shops wherever you go nowadays

Local ice cream van that comes around the streets each weekend charges £2.00 for a Mr Whippy Ice cream and an extra 50p for the flake . He doesn't seem to do much trade thou really, but I know this is quite cheap when compared to a tourist area.

A large cone from our ice cream van is £3.40. That is a double cone, with a flake and sauce. We were at the ice cream van last night that's why I remember. We don't use it often but occasionally get our son an ice lolly as a treat.

Last time was Cuneos in Sheffield in May when Fake Festival was on & cost me £2.50 for a large cone with Chocolate Sprinkles as I stood outside the park enjoying the music for free on my walk home from my all day overnight shift.

I get the nostalgia moment , and was mortified when he didn’t know what a popeye was .. please tell me you remember??

Prices are £350-£5.00 cone extortionate. Another one near me does homemade tubs that’s more useful and Italian

My local ice cream van that comes out side my street has a single cone ice cream for a pound.

If I go in to town then the same ice cream costs me nearly £5.

So what I do is get a 2 litre tub of ice cream from Tesco for £1.53 and then a 21 pack of cones that cost around £1.50 and then a bottle of strawberry sauce for another £1 and some sprinkles for another pound if I needed an ice cream at home.

So both ice creams taste different.

We have a local ice cream van but don’t use it. I have occasionally bought from a van on the beach on a hot day but quite expensive. I don’t like the whippy stuff anyway and usually choose something else. Much cheaper to buy multi packs from supermarkets though if you are at home.

Last I bought one it was £5 so I won't be doing it again in a hurry.Just got 4 Lidl cornettos for about £2.

It’s about £5-6 each. You need to pay by card as loose change don’t get you anything these days
