Do You like Doing Jigsaws?

Ask a Question

I love doing jigsaws but they have to be 1000 pieces or more and have an interesting or fun picture.

To be honest I find them quite expensive but today I got a bargain as they were all half price in W.H.Smiths so I bought 4!

A bit extravagant but stocking up for those winter nights!

I love doing Jigsaws. I pop my air pods in, load up a podcast and lose myself.

I find them so relaxing, the more pieces the better, although the largest I've done is 4000 piece as the lounge table can't take anything bigger.

I started this one yesterday, I predict it'll take me 2-3 weeks -

blacklabrador my problem is that once I start I can't stop and everything else goes to pot! I can do a 1000 piece in 3/4 days, most I have done is 1500. I have done one of those Jan van jigsaws but I like Ravensburger mostly. The Smiths ones are really nice and often of bygone days or country cottages.

I do enjoy doing a jigsaw. I remember during lockdown we found a selection in our loft that we had never done. These kept us busy. The whole family joined in.

eyeballkerry yes, I get lost in a jigsaw and time flies. Come winter, and by then newly retired, I thought buying 4 was a good investment for when I become bored.

No, I think I like breaking things and then putting them back together more. Not so much putting together then breaking.

Howmuch ha ha, I like it! I must admit I don't like taking them apart so I leave them on my kitchen table for about 3 days and then take a photo before boxing them up again.

Lynibis I know somebody that frames them and hangs them on his wall. He likes making frames, and he likes jigsaws so I guess it’s a win win.

jigsawx3x what an appropriate username for the topic lol. Yes space can be an issue but luckily I have a kitchen table and as it's only me I can still have room to eat my meals beside the jigsaw.

I haven't done any for awhile. The last one I did was a 3D puzzle of a castle took awhile to do. craftyarts.co.uk/ and theworks.co.uk/ have quite a few jigsaw puzzles at really good prices.

When I was younger I never had the patience to do a jigsaw but started doing them at work and can see the appeal. Don't think I'd sit down at home and do one but I can see how that might happen far in the future.
