Doing the School Run in a Bikini?!

Other

🏫 Have you ever done the school run in your PJ's?

Lots of schools in the north east have now had to tell parents that it's not okay to pick up or drop off their kids while wearing a bikini - that's on another level 😆

SamGoodship - That is a good laugh out aloud article. I assume the parents are car drivers? If not, that is absolutely shocking and uncalled for. I think I know what kind of parents, dresses like this.

jam45 at primary schools, even car drivers need to leave their cars and pick up their child at the gate or classroom door for safety 😀

Is it really tho it's been very hot and some bikinis are not that bad either ffs you should see what some parents go like to the school down the road 😊 I wouldnt do it myself but if they feel confident enough why not?

Leannexxx most schools have the same kind of dress code/guidance for parents when it comes to pjs and men being topless - they say it’s the image you show to the children

Leannexxx I kind of agree with you, it’s not as if there isn’t millions of images of women in bikinis in advertising and stuff so it’s not as if it’s deemed inappropriate by society.

Personally i do kind of think it doesn’t look the best but i can accept we all have different views and as long as the bikini is not super revealing i don’t see it as that much of an issue.

I go to work after I drop my son off so I'm always in my work clothes but can't say I've ever seen any of the parents in pjs or a bikini.

It might increase the number of Fathers doing the school run.

Well what can you say ! what is going through these women's minds totally selfish and bonkers. Think of the poor children if their friends see the teasing and bullying they would get.

This is totally unacceptable. The hot weather brings out the worse in people. A woman was walking round an indoor shopping centre the other day wearing a bikini, she did have a jacket thing on as well but it wasn’t covering the bikini.

That's totally mad, can't say that I ever noticed any strange clothes wearing when I did the school run in my area.

If I was a parent I would try my best to never come to the stage where I'm dropping my kids off in my PJ's .. but no judgements for the ones who do or have done x

I've not seen anyone at my children's school. I don't think the headteacher would be impressed if they did and would soon ban it.

Whst you wear to pick.up your children reflects not only on your and other parents children but also on the school.

If a school has a dres code for its children then why not the adults who are collecting them.

Does it really take that long to put a t-shirt or slip a sumer dress on over the bikini til they get back.to.the pool or sunbed from.whene they came.

This topic is too juicy to not make a joke.

I did the school run once in a bikini. But the headmaster chased me away as I don't have any children, and I was 'showing' a bit too much (ball) cleavage.

I'm not surprised it's in the north east. I live there and the things people wear is crazy. The hot weather doesn't help. I don't think it's ok to pick kids up wearing a bikini it should be just for the beach. I've seen people where I live wearing a bikini walking round the street, one wearing a t.shirt and thong. Others wear a very short dressing gown and nothing else not even knickers! It's really bad the kids just take after the parents and don't wear much. Seen one girl about 14 with see through white leggings on and a blue thong. It's really worrying. Parents should set an example.

Can’t say it bothers me. But it’s not usually that hot to warrant a lack of clothing, and there are plenty of cooling clothing that are available to wear

I remember one Mum who would wear low cut tops and mini skirts collecting her son. Then complained to the school about the attention dads would give her. The Governors chuckled.
