Are Hungarian Down Pillows Worth the Investment?
Ask a Question
I was looking at the Hungarian 100% down pillows in John Lewis yesterday. At £90 each they’re quite expensive but I’m tempted and the firm ones have mixed reviews.
Do you own these pillows? Are they long lasting please?
I had feather pillows previously but would not purchase again. Definitely need thick pillows case covers and pillow cases as get the feathers poking through
We have memory foam ones from Amazon, which provides good support - and a bargain at a tenner each (got them half price)
I have down pillows and a goose feather duvet, both of which are covered with thick cotton before the pillow case or duvet cover goes on.
EmmaWright762 Do you have to plump up your pillow please? I gave up with my feather duvet because I found it hard work shaking a king size one daily.
Pjran I plump up my pillows, it's very therapeutic for me especially if I'm annoyed with my pain. My husband does the duvet for me though as I don't have the strength.
I couldn't tell you what kind of pillows we have. I'm assuming that they are feather but we've had them for so long I can't remember. Wouldn't pay £90 for a one pillow.
Pjran I would rather spend more on a mattress than a pillow. Husband sleeps with 2 pillows and I can't afford £270 for 3 pillows that probably need replaced every few years. £90 for 3 pillows maybe but there are some things that are just too expensive, even when it's worth spending extra on it.
