The NHS are now using drones to deliver blood samples across hospitals. The autonomous aircraft only take about two minutes to fly from the rooftop of Guy’s Hospital in London Bridge to St Thomas’ opposite the Houses of Parliament ,whereas it would take up to an hour to drive through congested streets. This time-saving development is fundamental to success if patients are to resist bleeding out .It's always great when technology is used to preserve life and not threaten it.
Think this is a fantastic way to deliver blood but I'm assuming it would depend on the weather? Either way if it helps good
Yes I saw this being reported yesterday, it’s great. Best use of a drone I’ve ever heard.
back in the 1970's Plymouth hospitals trailed a scheme to deliver blood samples between building using pigeons so I guess drones are just a better version of that!
