Drones to Be Used by Amazon to Deliver Packages to Customers
In the News
With technology advancing so fast it doesn't surprise me that Amazon are going to start delivering parcels by drone
It will be trialled first in the UK, Italy and the USA
Obviously they will be the smaller parcels , not articles that are too big or heavy like an exercise bike
But i expect there will be some teething problems
What happens if a drone loses power, will packages come raining down from the sky to land in random gardens ?
What about other hazards in the air like birds or other domestic drones and planes ?
And how will you sign for a package if its needed ?
I am sure they will sort these problems out , eventually

I've been hearing about this for years. I'm not sure how feasible it is though, so many things can go wrong. Even if it survives all the hurdles initially and is a success, Amazon probably delivers millions of packages weekly, if they're moving in that direction - will people really want this many drones in the sky?
If they're just wanting to use it for hard to get to locations by road, then it might be feasible.
I can't see this working in most areas. It might be good in really remote places especially during winter. But that's it. Amazon drivers can't find my address so I think it might be worse with a drone. I have things delivered to a locker for me to pick up much easier.
There will definitely be people dedicated to hacking into them so they can intercept packages!
All well and good but the issue is the stuff will get nicked. People will see the drone stop and know somethings been delivered. All very well, and good using tech til it goes wrong. People will they never received it just to get refunds. Our postal service can't deliver stuff to the right addresses nor do they sort it properly as it is so how can we expect a drone to do better?
This will never happen ,anything flying around like that would need to be heavily regulated otherwise chaos would pursue above our heads, with these drones crashing into all sorts of things.
