Memory Lane: What's Your Earliest Childhood Memory?
Ask a Question
Evening everyone.
What is your earliest memory? For me, I was two years old and at a birthday party of someone from the playgroup I went to. It was in a house on the other side of the road from the primary school I would have started at a couple of years later. I can recall sitting on the floor in the living room playing with this large wooden train set with a couple of other toddlers. My mum says that the lady who was hosting the party dropped the birthday cake on the floor, but I thankfully don't remember that part. What a waste of a good cake.
I also have memories of being in my pushchair and my mum pushing me, but they are vague. Though I remember my cot quite well.
Until I was 2 my parents lived in a high rise flat. I have a memory of running along the balcony & my mum telling me off. I can also vaguely remember our neighbour & that he had a pet snake.
These were them
Long been pulled down but this is a pic i just discovered of them from when they featured in the likely lads.
Moving house when I was 3 year old, I remember the first day being there and meeting my life long friend, weirdly I don't remember anything before or after that move, just that day
I kind of vaguely remember going to play school and the end of my road and having milk in those white plastic cups and a cookie. The taste of milk brings that memory back, I don’t often drink just milk.
