The restaurants around here absolutely suck, so I'll be making food at ours. Maybe a nice roast beef dinner.

My partner is a chef so he's likely going to be working and cooking others people father's day lunch. I'll will buy him some steak but he'll end up cooking it himself.

SamGoodship - Just treat father's Day like an ordinary Sunday. Remind him food shopping has almost double in price.

If I do it won’t be on the 18th, i find on any special occasion the pubs/restaurants are jam packed & more expensive. I don’t like to feel too constricted when eating so usually cook at home on the specific day then go and eat out a week or so later

We'll probably take him for coffee , and go for a nice walk. And give him a card . Nice a simple.

Eating out now can be rather expensive. Our starters were £20 each so just imagine about the price of the mains, my pudding was £18. I would rather have a meal at home instead of our extortionate lunch out again.

Hell no. Its to expensive for what it is. Don't eat out on mothers day either for the same reason
