Do You Ever Have Trouble Sleeping?

Ask a Question

I have had this problem for a while now. I find it really hard to sleep even though im really tired. I tried to do lots of exercises so I can make my body tired. I have tried wearing an eye mask but it hasn't made a difference.

Do you have the same problem?

What do you recommend I do?

Justlooking2 Just search for "Pillow Speaker" on Amazon/Ebay etc. They usually come with a 3.5mm headphone jack cable which fits fine in my phone, but if your phone doesn't have an old style headphone jack or you have an iPhone, you can get adapters. You place the speaker actually in the pillow (not under the cover) so you may have cut a small hole in the pillow to put the speaker in.

Justlooking2 No problem at all. It definitely helps me when I have a lot on my mind, as you concentrate on what you are listen to, rather than what is on your mind. Hope it works for you 🙂

I sleep better when I turn all electronic devices off at least an hour before bed (i.e., tablet, tv, phone although I don’t do this as often as I should). I definitely find it easier to get to sleep when I do.

Chanelno5 I used to be on electronic devices quite often. However I have limited myself but even still I find it troublesome to sleep.

I find playing a repetitive game on my phone actually helps me to get to sleep since it seems to wear my mind out somewhat and makes me concentrate on something other than whatever I was thinking about that was keeping me awake. I know electronics can make things worse for a lot of people, though.

I’ve had sleeping issues for years. CBD oil worked for a while but then I must of got used to it and it stopped working.

Currently working shifts so when I’m off I use a 5htp supplement which has been BRILLIANT for me but warning, it does give you crazy dreams! Lol

Yes, and I’d say it usually down to stress. Someone earlier this year recommended taking melatonin as it’s meant to help - knocks him out like a baby

I like to write a journal before bed and that helps me to transfer my thoughts out of my head and onto paper, it has really helped me sleep as I used to just think about things round and round all night and it would stop me sleeping. I get much more rest now

Justlooking2 yes just like keeping a diary, I am still careful if what I write in case someone finds it, it is more a way of preceding feelings and thoughts

Pop into Aldi or Lidl. Look in the herbal tea range. I think they are actually called sleep tea or something very similar...got lots of calming stuff in there....works a treat and is natural. Win win. Hope they help

Mskaur I might give it a go. Sounds like a bullet proof plan. I think the problem is that I sometimes am over tired.

Yes I do have trouble. I can often find myself awake for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. It's incredible frustrating.

I find the pillow sleep sprays are quite helpful.

There's lots of them around but I think the Land Of Nod Spray from the poundshop is as good as any other and just £1

If you can get this I highly recommend it. It's available over the counter at the pharmacy and is really good for getting you off to sleep.

The only thing that works for me is intermittent fasting. Where you eat for just eight hours a day and only drink water the rest of the time. My eating window I chose is between 10.30am - 6.30pm it has a world of other benefits to. Sleeping is defo one of them.

I use to sleep really well but now I am waking up with terrible neck pain. I have tried different pillows and different amounts of pillows but nothing is solving the problem. My body is riddled with arthritis so it may be that.
