Have You Ever Used a Epilator?

I purchased one years ago and had to take it back but Boots were selling them the other day for £4.50 so I thought i would try again. In fact I got one for myself and one for my adult daughter. She is fine with hers but I still find them painful but will persevere. Have you got one ?
Great price. I only use it on my legs after a warm bath, underarms is torture, tried it once never again.
elfleur98 I will try it after I have a shower as I don’t like baths and see if it’s any better. I keep trying a bit at a time. Done half a leg. Daughter has done both legs until it ran out and needs charging. She love’s needles and has tattoos. So this is nothing to her.
Yes I have one I use for quickness if I’m not bathing. I usually just use razors. It was painful at first but the more you do it the more used to it you get. Some areas are probably best left alone 
. It’s fine for legs. I rarely use it though.
JLouM I am only going to use it on my legs but it is suppose to get better the more you use it. As advised will not use under the arms, I will leave that one to my daughter.

yes, super painful! I have recently had laser treatment and csnt recommend it enough now to anyone for permanent hair removal. it’s also cheaper than I thought for years I thought I couldn’t afford it but I pay £30 a session every 8 weeks which I think isnt too bad. Honestly worth looking into!
HannahSunderlan Sounds like a good idea especially if you are going away. Although it’s not permanent if you keep going back.
Once..never again.I buy those little eyebrow razors in bulk on e bay and use them now. 
Pjran It was a bargain. My daughter had seen them online for £10, then on the shelf in one store they had been reduced to £5 then got 10% off using my advantage card.
I have no need for one as after so long shaving, my legs and armpits are bald! Very strange as I have massively thick and plentiful hair on my head
Lynibis It does depend on your age as I think at a certain age they do stop. It has happened to my mum. Its something to look forward to!
Fitchet it is weird why in society women in the uk are expected to shave off most their hair. I know the German women didn’t use to do their arm pits. Not sure if they do now.
NOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!! Way too painful and left my legs looking like turkey skin. Not for me I'm afraid but if they work for anyone else I am pleased for them. 
Tried it once and I only did a bit they say pain is beauty nar your alright I'd say ugly lol
Leannexxx I am getting there. I have now completed one leg and started on the other. It’s weird as it doesn’t hurt as much on the higher setting.

Leannexxx I have had four children and even though it was pretty painful, you get a lovely end result. I had a kidney stone, now that was painful and no reward.
Good lord no. Trying mine out once was enough. Never again. Iv kept it tho, just incase I ever need to creatively get information out of anyone.
Glitterandgold Never thought of using it for that, but a great idea. I’m getting there slowly and I will finish both legs by the end of the week!
you get used to it, as the pain is less obvious and more bearable the more you get used to it
hspexy I have completed one leg and I can keep going over that one, it’s bearable. As for the other one, I’m getting there slowly.
I used an epiltor when I was a teenager a d early twenties but had to stop. I've got a skin condition and the epilator aggravated it. It was painful to begin with but got to used it.
MrsCraig I am still going at it. My daughter has her own one and has done her legs without any problems but she has tattoos done and thought that was ok.
eyeballkerry I would much rather suffer the pain of an epilator than the pain of a tattoo but that's just me. I also found that it took much longer to do than shaving did. It also didn't last any longer than shaving did, well for me anyway.
MrsCraig My daughter has now done her arms and even tried the arm pits. She finally admitted it did hurt a bit there. Like I say she has tattoos so an epilator is nothing to her.
eyeballkerry I never used it ony armpits only my legs. The pain of using it on my legs was bad enough, definitely wouldn't have tried it on my armpits. She is a braver woman than me!
MrsCraig She actually enjoys going for blood tests. I used to ask her to come with me and use her arm instead!
eyeballkerry can't say I've ever enjoyed a blood test. I got used to them as had to have one every 2 weeks but certainly never enjoyed it. I would have been using her arm instead too.
blondebratz I keep trying everyday a little bit more. The time I have finished the second leg I will probably need to start on the first one again.
I epilate literally everywhere. Lol. I do my legs arms and armpits. It hurt when I first started but now it just feels normal. I've epilated for the last 4 years or so
SalmaS I think this is the case. I have been doing my legs but seem to be getting used to it. Armpits I’m still scared!
