As we ‘gracefully’ age, a lot of stuff seems to have got smaller - proven by shrinkflation. That is apart from seagulls- they don’t seem to have got the memo. Does anyone else think that seagulls seem a lot bigger than they used to be. Seriously bigger - or should I have gone to specsavers ?
It's all those fish & chips people feed them, some of these seagulls are massive, look like their on steroids lol we go to Bridlington quite a lot, we use to eat our meals near the harbour, we don't do it anymore because of the seagulls
Dont know about people actually feeding the seagulls- they seem to actually swoop in to steal them these days. Seagulls on steroids! The amount of stuff we pump into the oceans I wouldn’t be surprised!
I said the same to my partner recently. She replied, "maybe you're getting bigger!" 
Well I live close to the sea but not right on it. There are lots of seagulls most of the time. A person opposite me always has overflowing bins. How they have so much waste is beyond me. The bin liners are just on top of the wheelies (already full). Guess what loves to come and have a peck!! Yep rubbish all over the pavement and inviting their feathered friends!
JLouM remember years ago someone fly tipped a bin back outside where I was living. The seagulls had a field day. Had to dodge dirty nappies to get to work. Local council refused to come out and sort. Told me I needed to clean up myself and go through the rubbish and see if there was mail or that type thing in the bsg and to give it to them. Told them no chance as I didn't know what was in it and didn't have the ppe they use so I'd be leaving it there for the rats and they could deal with that instead.
Apparently it was unfair that I made the local council clear up a bin bag that could have Needles in it. Um last time I checked I paid my council tax for the staff to be employed to do this and even now I expect my taxes to cover training on how to be safe at work and to be provided with ppe
Jerseydrew Oh my goodness, how did they expect you to clean someone else’s rubbish? What a lazy council and yes you pay them tax so it’s not unfair. They were unfair to you. Glad you didn’t do it.
A colleagues son works as a delivery driver for a supermarket, they have a seagull who has worked out when they are packing the vans and swoops in daily to select the best stuff from the top of the stacked boxes. It apparently likes cheese and smoked salmon best.
Auntielettie OMG! What a useless delivery person who doesn't know how to avoid a "rodent" from entering his van. Why aren't the stacked boxes covered before going into their van?
You saying that, it must have been last week and something caught my eye out the window, I actually thought it was someone’s washing but it was the biggest seagull I have ever seen. It landed outside the kitchen window on our hot tub. So close.
I used to love buying Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Minis from Amazon (Feb 2022), but not long after, they stopped selling it.
What happened afterwards? It got smaller and the price increased. I haven't bought any of it since.
This could be part of the reason, shop lifting, they are not eating healthily , just rubbish like crisps 
They had a clip on the news last week of a similar incident and i posted this a while back also
The gulls around us are huge. I’ve convinced my granddaughter that the one that sits on our chimney is singing to me 
Seagulls are generic term for a group of birds. All similar looking. Can't remember the correct name for the common ones. They are small compared to heron gulls (they have blacker wings), those bad boys are massive. Don't come into land as often. Still do but not like the common ones. Who still huge.
We live pretty close to the sea so there are always seagulls about the place. Remember looking out the window one day and there was one just strutting about the garden. It was the biggest seagull I had ever seen. My son calls them cheeky birdies and tells them to get off peoples cars and roofs.
Told some of my younger grandkids that they are the bird police to keep the naughty birds under control. I dont live anywhere near the sea but the gulls like to hang around our large Morrisons!
We have a bird sanctuary as part of our seafront here so get to see a whole managerie of sea birds. The largest seagulls I have ever seen were at Blackpool, they were dive bombing people and stealing their food. 
Everything getting smaller? Product wise yes, but not the prices you pay for these things or general household BILLS!
I think you might be right cause now you mention it i swear they have like doubled in size. I remember when i went to Australia they had massive seagulls and i was amazed but now the ones here are equally as big
