Evri - Whose Had Problems ?
Ask a Question
*****UPDATE***** I have had my order refunded as it's been confirmed that the package is lost!
Wondering if anyone has had problems with Evri courier service ?
Ordered something from Vinted and this was the last message i had "Your parcel will be delivered to your chosen ParcelShop or locker today, and we'll let you know when it's ready to collect" that was 9 days ago.
Now saying should be by the 25th, as they are saying they are experiencing delays. Does not make sense to me at all!
I have never had a problem with Evri myself, but I wouldn't worry too much. If you have a tracking number keep an eye out on that, if you still haven't received anything by end of the month I would be getting into contact with Evri
My package has still not turned up after over a week of them saying it will be delivered next working day. I don't particularly like to assume but I guess it's "lost"
My package was stuck on it is being delivered to where you have stated at a local evri pickup point, I then contacted evri and got a response back, so probably worth contacting them about it.
non of the UK delivery couriers are any good ....its all about profit not customer service ..you are basically giving your money away in hope yes HOPE that you get the parcel that you are waiting for ..there are not enough staff ,delivery or depot/sorting and so they have to work under extreme pressure for low wages and long hours ...the whole system is a complete shambles ..only the CEO and Shareholders benefit ,you and the workforce suffer for it ..i mean look delivering a packet from A to B is not rocket science .i can drive anywhere in the UK Within one day ..and here you are 2/3 weeks later still waiting for a delivery ..its the 20th century ...horse & cart travel is History.
guitarstrings62 I recently sent a parcel by Yodel I dropped it off at the petrol station that is a drop off point for yodel and I guess the Yodel fan must have turned up a few minutes later as the parcel was delivered the same day and it was a 3 day economy service. I know this because in the evening the ebay customer posted positive feedback. I was well surprised with the speed and efficiency on this occasion.
Went to my local post office today and they weren't taking parcels at all. It wasn't explained why but I just went to the next nearest that were. Maybe they had no more storage for parcels as existing parcels hadn't been collected. Luckily there are so many post offices where as other couriers have limited drop off points.
guitarstrings62 So what postal companies are 'good' in your opinion?
There's DHL, UPS, DPD, and FedEx as far as more reliable parcel companies, but the majority prefer to use Royal Mail (+ ParcelForce), Evri, and even Yodel as they're much cheaper.
I'm currently annoyed with Royal Mail since I've not been getting any mail for about a week or two and it worries me if anything may go missing.
Yes still waiting for our parcel for the last 2 weeks now they are saying they don't know where our parcel is and hope to track it down soon we have now since got a refund
Yes I have had nightmare trying to get hold of them I have not found out to do it . What a joke this company is they can't tell you where the parcel is lol . They've lost two parcels of mine in the last 10 days and I'm waiting for a full refund.
Always had problems with them (since long time ago when they were still called "Hermes"). They would claim they had attempted delivery even when I knew that they hadn't . I would give instructions to ring when outside the flat block but they chose not to . Once they even told me they didnt have access code to type in to the box outside the block .I was like "neither do I because there isn't one"! Thar just proves they were lying and no one had attempted delivery
I can't actually write my true feelings about them on here because my language may be offensive to some ppl. Needless to say I am not a fan of Evri or whatever they call themselves these days . Incompetent
My Evri will say its out for delivery then I get a message saying parcel is too large so needs a specialist delivery, on these occasions one was a pair of Pjs and the other was a cup. I was left confused. I however got the delivery a few days after.
I got a message off of evri saying they had received my parcels and they was in transit. After they didn't arrive after 7 days I clicked where's my parcel and it advised me to get in touch with the seller so they could raise the issue with evri, even tho they had sent me an email saying they had my parcels. I had to wait a further 4 days before I got a message saying they had lost my parcels and I would have to wait between 7-14 days for a refund. The seller has now refunded my money but she has had all her orders for that days work which was over 50 parcels all go missing/lost. She has not had any returns and I've not received any goods. How do you lose that many parcels? Evri has offered no reason for anything. All you get is they were lost in transit. I placed an order a few days later with a different company and evri was the parcel handlers. I did get the out for delivery email but then got a message to say there had been delays in getting my parcel to me. They said to look back the next morning for updates and there were no updates for 2 days. I clicked where's my order and just got package delayed check back in the morning for updates. 4 days later I got my package I was actually surprised I got it tbh. But it's almost impossible to contact evri
AlbieBen I use Evri via Parcel2Go and thankfully no parcels were lost, but I know there's always that risk when using them.
It's unacceptable and unprofessional they haven't changed their ways since the days they were Hermes.
PhilipMarc Unfortunately as a customer you don't get to pick who delivers your goods. You do take a risk when using them. But what got me with mine was that they were telling me to contact the seller even after they had emailed me that they had received my parcels and said they were in transit. Surly they can't expect you to blame or hassle the seller when the problem is with them. And how do they lose an order of over 50 parcels from the one seller. You get no apologies either from them. They can't be contacted either. I agree with you too, so unprofessional. But they keep their prices lower to get the business but fail to deliver (literally).
AlbieBen Low prices are definitely what keep them going and Yodel too (I absolutely refuse to use them).
And it doesn't help Royal Mail are on strike so it's a messy situation. I wonder when I'll even get mail, maybe starting next month. :-/
Iv stopped ordering online & stopped selling for the time being. Delivery's are mayhem at the moment. It's been an absolute nightmare. A parcel has been with Evri since end of Nov, Got a message on the 2nd of Dec saying 'sorry your parcel has been delayed' & nothing since. So I guess its in the vault of forever missing Evri parcels.
Update: My package was finally delivered early this morning (22nd) after not hearing anything since the 2nd. Nice surprise as had given up on it.
I've just had the same problem once again due to the weather which I have no idea what they are on about there's nothing been up with the weather it's been ok. can't find email address or phone number to check
Pfs Maybe it's not the weather in your area , but in the senders area ? Perhaps the winges are because we expect delivery in 2 or 3 days but do not appreciate the logistic problems that the carriers can encounter . Never mind ,have a moan
Pfs No , but I can understand the logistic problems such companies face . As I'm sure any intelligent person can ? Can you ? Or is it easier to just moan ?
Golfforall I use to be a delivery driver so yes I have an idea what is going on. You also come across very rude saying we are moaning as I'm sure an intelligent person can.
Pfs As I said , too easy to moan , rather than appreciate the difficulties delivery companies (and their staff face ) . Was that rude ? Perhaps reread my comments and re appraise your comment ? Doesn't anyone read comments on here ? . Before going off on one ?
Pfs No just actually reading comments - before replying to them (as I always do - it's only polite to do so ?) . You should try it ? Would save you arguing against yourself ?
Pfs So was that an apology , or an admission that you don't read comments before replying ? You've lost me . Goodnight .
My Evri parcel took over a month to arrive . I bought it on the 5nov and arrived the 6 Dec. It was ment to arrive on the 11 November. I think they lost it and then found it later on.
I've had a new new email today saying I was getting a delivery between 3 and 5 p.m and nothing ever came.
I hired a car and left my house keys on the car key and when I rang them they said they will post them for me and I never received them so I rang royal mail and explained and asked do they have a lost property and they said no. The key is universal as it will let you in the front and back door as well.
No but I have a neighbour that thinks it's OK to put my address on her parcels so she don't have to have them knocking on her door fuming with them now told them I'm not taking anymore in 3 sometime 4 a day being delivered its a joke when I seeing to my bedbound parents and I know there in watching TV
Up date was talking to post lady today about my neighbours getting them delivered to mine she said if they have put a note on them to say deliver at mine she would be more than happy to take them back 1 come 2day and it went back
We had an e-mail from Evri saying a package had been delivered, with a photo of our correctly addressed parcel sitting on a doorstep. Unfortunately not our doorstep. By luck we found a 'street view' of that doorstep at a house with the same number and street name, but with very different postcode and 35 km from us. Impossible to make a complaint to Evri by online form. Just got an automated assurance 'it will be delivered in time for Christmas'.
They have gone terrible, I usually sigh when I find out something I ordered is being delivered by Evri. Usually followed the next day with a ‘There’s a delay on your parcel’ email.
