Heartbreak as M&S Discontinues Popular Ice Cream Flavour
- M&S discontinues beloved Chocolate Millionaires Ice Cream
- Fans take to social media to express their disappointment
- M&S introduces new flavours to replace the discontinued favourite
Ice cream lovers were left disappointed as Marks & Spencer announced the discontinuation of their popular Chocolate Millionaires Ice Cream. Shoppers, who cherished the flavour, have taken to social media to plead with the retailer to bring it back.
A devoted fan expressed their sorrow on Twitter, writing, "This is my absolute favourite ice cream ever but I can’t find it in any of my local M&S stores. Please tell me you haven’t discontinued it?" Unfortunately, M&S confirmed the sad news, responding, "Hi Natalie, it looks like we’re not selling this any more – fingers crossed it’ll return one day."
Despite the outcry, M&S has been busy launching new products. A spokesperson from the company stated, "We’re constantly reviewing, refreshing and improving our ranges across the Foodhall and have launched 1,250 new products in the last year, as well as upgrading 1,000 products. This year we are launching 1,400 new products and upgrading a further 1,000 products."
In place of the discontinued favourite, M&S introduced two new flavours that have already started to win over fans. Top of the Chocs Ice Cream features truffle-filled tubs with chocolate biscuit chunks and chocolate sauce. Another new addition, I’m Fully Loaded Popcorn flavour, includes chocolate caramel cups and chocolate-coated salted pretzels swirled with rich caramel.
Summer Raemason reported in The Sun that while fans mourn the loss of their beloved Chocolate Millionaires Ice Cream, these new options may help to soften the blow.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "It's always tough to see a favourite product disappear, but M&S's new flavours show they are committed to delighting their customers with exciting new options."
