Aldi shoppers have been left disappointed after a popular freezer item was pulled from the shelves. Fans of the budget supermarket were disheartened to discover that the Four Seasons Lemon & Lime Slices, a beloved summer staple, are no longer available in stores.

One puzzled customer took to social media to inquire about the product’s availability, prompting a wave of responses from fellow shoppers who confirmed the item had been discontinued. “I think they have been discontinued as I used to buy them 2 years ago but have not seen them since,” one user responded sadly.

A spokesperson for Aldi stated, “We continually review our range of products to make sure we’re meeting the needs of Aldi shoppers.”

Despite the disappointment, some resourceful shoppers shared simple methods for making the lemon and lime slices at home. One user advised, “So easy to make them yourself, all you need to do is separate the slices while they first freeze (use baking parchment to separate layers). Once frozen you can put them together in a bag or container to get the freezer space back.”

This news follows the recent discontinuation of other popular items at Aldi, such as the El Bandido beer, a well-loved Desperados dupe. Priced at £3.99 for a three-pack of 330ml bottles, the tequila-flavoured beer was a hit among consumers.

Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, “While it’s always disappointing when a favourite product is discontinued, it’s great to see shoppers sharing creative solutions. Making your own lemon and lime slices at home is a brilliant way to keep enjoying them.”
