Ex Hotel Manager Warns Not to Use Shampoo Etc Provided in Hotel Showers

In the News

Many hotels provide body wash or shampoo for their guests in plastic dispensers in the bathroom shower

But an ex hotel manager has said she would never use this type of dispenser after seeing what nasty guests put in them

Besides unmentionable fluids , they sometimes put things like hair remover in the shampoo bottles !!

Imagine checking in with a full head of hair and leaving with your head looking like a billiard ball

I think i will stick to bathroom sachets or take my own

Wow, never thought about people putting stuff in it. A lot of hotels and gyms use these as it is more economical and better for the environment but obviously not better for us.

I mean I’m sure it has happened but i highly doubt it’s that common. People on holiday have better things to do with their time.

I thought only housekeeping had keys to open and fill up dispensers. I have used them but rarely. I tend to prefer taking my own toiletries anyway. There must be some really uncouth people (animals) about if they do things like that. Actually that’s being unkind to animals. 😅

JLouM I have been to some hotels where they are locked and some where the dispensers are just loose J , so if you are lucky and they are tamper proof then you wouldn't need to worry

As everyone has mentioned here the world is a mess when you have to worry about people doing this type of thing

At least some of us are now aware of these uncouth practices

They're only lickle bottles so would be more trouble than it's worth squashing unmentionables into them.Anyway goes around comes around so they'll get their comeuppance sooner or later if they do eh?

I stopped using shampoo as a test after watching a YouTube video and it worked for me, so I wouldn't use it, anyway. 😆
