What Do You Think of Farmer Jones' Grey Squirrel Burger Idea?
Ask a Question
It looks like grey squirrel is on this farmers menu very soon
He will be serving squirrel burgers at an event near Bangor, North Wales, next month.
As they are an invasive species and are causing a decline in the red squirrel population they are allowed to be hunted here
The question is would you be partial to a squirrel burger or stick to Mcdonalds ?

I’d happily eat this sort of thing (and insects) as it’s better for the environment but the problem is they actually charge more than for normal meat
I personally couldn't add to the number of meats I eat. I already feel guilty about eating beef and chicken etc. I haven't eaten lamb for about 40 years though but that is as far as I got going vegetarian.
telmel I wouldn't know its been so long I've almost forgotten what it tastes like but it was never my favourite meat for sure and very easy for me to stop eating back then. Beef and chicken are by far my favourites. If I do manage to stop eating another meat it will be pork I guess which I don't eat a lot of now.
I think pork is one of the unhealthiest B, but i do like pork crackling , but as with you i mainly eat chicken and beef
PhilipMarc It wouldnt be just the spikes that would put me off P, but they are infested with fleas and tics too
Found this on google though
What country eats hedgehogs?
They were eaten in ancient Egypt and some recipes of the Late Middle Ages called for hedgehog meat. They were traded throughout Eurasia and Africa for traditional medicine. The Romani people still eat hedgehogs today, boiled or roasted, and also use the blood and fat for their supposed medicinal value.Jan 30, 2020
