What's the Quality of Farmfoods Cat Food?
Ask a Question
Is the cat food from Farmfoods any good? Is the quality and taste good enough for a cat to bother eating it?
I will have to give it a try, I wasn’t aware they did their own brand. I’m guessing your cat are fussy as well
jms19 They kinda like cat food as long as it is regularly rotated through the different brands and flavour combinations. Cat food pales in comparison to songbirds and baby rats as it can't be booted around like a football in the style of Haaland.
I've not seen farmfood own brands of cat food just the normal big brands there. In the past there has been some good multideals and the use of their vouchers included with their flyers means they can be a very good price. Not noticed any difference in quality than other sources and that would be Felix mainly. Obviously I don't eat it myself so can't do a taste test but it just looks like the same product sold in Tesco, Sainsburys etc.
I once tried a Lidl cat food many, many years ago when they first came to the UK. It was very cheap and very low quality. The factory clearly had a issue on the day as the catfood wasn't minced and there was no brown dye added to the tin so it was a horrible load of vile slop in the tin. Being the tightwad I still put it down for the cat but of course it refused to eat it. I'm sure Lidl's cat food is better now but it put me off ever buying their catfood ever again. Just thinking about it makes me feel a little ill. I seem to remember the catfood came from somewhere like Spain or Italy I think.
