What Can We Do to Enjoy the New Year Season Despite the Cold?

I know what you mean. Last year was the heat wave and lots of fires. Don't want it to be that hot but warm would be nice. The washing is a nightmare can't get anything washed and dried as can't put in on the radiators has too expensive to use and putting it outside is out the question as raining so much.

Same here. Been so cold and is 7c here right now but I can't afford heating so I am just wrapped up.

Come on spring... or better still summer even though we don't really have a summer

Totally agree, it's still way to cold to put away my winter coat. We have just had a hosepipe ban come in! after weeks of rain so maybe we're in for another hot summer.

Over in Iberian countries it feels like it's summer already.

I remember going on holiday years ago during Easter when it was in April and received news that it was snowing at home.

Yup. We've had fog this week. My windows steamed up again last night. Usually stops by this time of year.

I'm longing to be able to sit out and have a nice cuppa, potter around the garden. Looks as though its going to be nice here today as the suns out and there's no wind. Just going to put the washing out.
