Has anyone in the UK finished the entire festivals loop or at least attended one this far during 2023?
And what music festivals are you into? Celtic, Mainstream? Rock? Or it could even be a one time event? Let me know below. I’m an ex event manager and used to be on the organising team at T in The Park, Scotland. This is no longer on over the weekend or at least I think they’ve made it a one-day thing?
I've always wanted to go to one but can't be bothered with all the unclean showers and if it pours it down. UK festivals are very expensive as well, can get pretty much the same lineup elsewhere in europe for cheaper plus more likely to be sunny.
We’re going to a local one-day festival. The main focus is the food stalls and free kids activities, but they have some music acts with some semi-famous bands so should be a good day out
I'm too long in the tooth to go to festivals now, but I will be going to a village get together that's on all day and night. Bar, food, music.....what more do I need. And I can take Harvey the woofer. Used to love Brecon Jazz weekend when it first started, but they absolutely ruined it with the pricing when it started getting more popular, so we stopped going.
In Sheffield we have Tramlines, this used to be a FREE event then as it got bigger they started charging a ridiculous amount of money...
janphoenix51 when it was free what sort of lineup did it attract. There are some biggish names performing so can see why it costs what it does
jms19 ...It attracted local bands & a few famous ones,it was ran from City Centre, now its ran from Hillsborough nr Sheffield Wednesday's ground..
I've always wanted to do a summer full of festivals, but either something else comes up or once I've added up transport and ticket costs its been way too much. Still would be a fun experience to do though.
emilyljames123 yeah for the same money you could do a month+ on holiday abroad.
Depends how into your music you are as to whether it’s worth it i guess
