This is a bit scary. 200 fire fighters are there. Frightening and reminds me of grenfell tower. The lower part is a nursery. At least that was closed. Got to feel for the familes involved.
I saw this morning in the news and my heart when out to all the people involved. So scary and like you say brings back memories of the awful Grenfell tower. Let’s hope everyone is okay.
I naively thought such cladding had been removed a long time ago because of Grenfell but from what I understand this building also had cladding although not sure if it was the same or as dangerous as Grenfell.
BonzoBanana it's not as simple there's a lot of red tape to get of it as always and the age old money. Not saying it's a right attitude it's wrong it's awful
There is a news article saying the fire was caused by someone smoking
telmel not a surprise. I think this is one of the reasons why landlords occasionally put a clause into leases fir no smoking in the property which I don't blame
