Free Audio Books?
Ask a Question
Hi all, I'm doing a long drive soon and would love to listen to an audio book during the journey. Can anyone advise me how to get some for free or really cheap? I'm not very technology friendly so any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Whatever you find just make sure you don't end up with a droning voice of a storyteller - long drive not so safe.
Lol I wonder if Brian Blessed narrated any books! In all seriousness I am planning lots of breaks as I'm taking the dogs so not too worried about nodding off! Thanks for pointing out the safety aspect though. I will make sure I stop if I get any drowsiness.
Haha! I love Brian the Loud! I love Stephen Fry reading but I just know he could lull me. If I find any options I will get back to this thread.
Seem to be lots of places...https://www.howtogeek.com/354016/8-places-you-can-find-free-audiobooks-legally/
Audible do free books every month. If you are not choosey you can get some really good deals. However, it's worth checking out charity shops for these, and eBay do a heck of a lot. Take a look.
I would check YouTube first - so many available free. Hope you find what you're looking for!
I search youtube for the audiobook I want and then download it using this site. I choose the lowest bit rate as that is fine for an audio book I find. Simple, fast and free. I also download most of my music the same way but use the highest bit rate for those. Also I create podcasts the same way, look for videos where I only need the audio about subject matters I'm interested in.
