Freebie and Competition News (Part 2)

In the News

It seems that the Latest Deals website is struggling to cope with the chat I started, over 4 years ago, due to the volume of comments! So I am starting a new chat and waving goodbye to over 10,000 comments and starting fresh.

So where were we????

I thought it might be a nice idea to share our recent finds and discuss these on Chat. Whether it be a fab freebie or a spectacular win (or maybe it's just me being super nosey so you can tell me to take a long jump!) I thought it would be fun to report what we've been receiving.

And those of you that are 'Super Hunters' you might like to share some tips.

What do you think? Worthwhile topic or naff?

kitty88uk at least you were able to get something useful done and it wasn't a wasted journey. I haven't been to our library for a while.

MrsCraig yeah lol 😝 didn’t take me that long do things in this app! And didn’t take long to walk back home I usually walk to Sainsbury’s too but it was cold 🥶 and I needed the loo lol 😅

I see when was the last time you were there, how many years? You could take your kid there so he can meet other kids and borrow some books 📚 too

kitty88uk the school library is great, they sit down together as a class and the librarian reads a story with them and then they get to pick a book.

I've had a few perfumes, some cat treats for my mums cat, a dove tanning lotion for my mother in law, a moisturiser. Can't think of any others. Have you had any freebies lately?

MrsCraig sounds lovely 🥰 hope your son loves going to school 🏫

A sachet of body lotion spf 🧴 which I will use up soon, and 3 skincare items to trial for 14 days from clicks research been years since I got an email invite from them!

That’s it not much freebies even though I applied for a few

Have you noticed now we need to post 6 deal offers? I don’t mind means we can earn 600 points per day now! 😎✌🏻

kitty88uk yeah he loves school. I'm waiting on a spf body lotion sample. I don't get as many freebies as I used to. I think the 6 deals is for amazon prime days, from what I remember they usually do extra deal posts when it is amazon prime days.

MrsCraig Awww.. how sweet.

Health is my wealth at the moment. All good on that front thankfully.

I have finished one job contract and I am looking for my next one. It's slow going at the moment, but something will crop up. It always seems to. 🤞

All the best, Cx

MrsCraig I have a 3rd and final interview tomorrow so here's hoping it will b good news. If not, it's been a fun few days exploring a new business area and swatting up on marketing technology platforms.

I just got a £50 voucher from Tom, Deepak and Kelsey for my Latest Deals contribitions. I am working my way up to 850,000 points next.

I also got a lovely letter for, HMRC offering me the chance to claim a tax rebate that the 'daylight bandito's' took from my last salary!!!

I got a £50 voucher from LD recently too. Also claimed £45 from other survey sites. All going towards the Christmas pot.

Oh a tax rebate is always nice. Xx

MrsCraig The HRMC generally sends more troublesome letters I have to say. But this one was a delight. It is also super-easy to claim, and lucky ol' me should receive the money in my account within 7 days. I doubt with interest since they have had my cash for over 1 year! 😂

Ceebers at least you are getting something back, a little extra money always helps. Especially when it was yours to begin with. I remember getting a tax rebate of almost £2000 one year. Now that was a good HMRC letter.

Ceebers it was indeed. At the time I worked 2 part time jobs. I was rightly bring taxed for both but on the wrong tax codes. I was being charged tax for the full time salary of each job.

It went straight into making an overpayment on the mortgage. Xx

MrsCraig I had nightmares in the past trying to chase for compensation that my accountant prompted me to chase for. In the end, my Accountant got three times what I finally received 6 months later. HMRC is a necessary evil I guess. Xx

Ceebers I got a letter through yesterday. It was a tax rebate. Just thought it was ironic as we had just been talking about them. I had thought I might be due one but expected maybe £50. It was much more than that, was shocked. Xx

MrsCraig Great news indeed!!! I should get mine paid direct to my bank account by Friday.

In other news... that job I applied for went to the other candidate after 3 interviews. I got some great feedback which was lovely. So my hunt goes on for that next illusive contract. 🤞 🍀

Hope everyone is doing well.

I am just about to hit my next voucher on here for 850,000. They have soared up. I have been saving my Amazon vouchers for Christmas presents and only have a few more to buy now. Saves me dipping into my bank account which is great.

I won a £25 Amazon voucher from the Metro newspaper monthly prize draw for completing surveys. Plus, I won £100 paid to my PayPal account from a site called VerveVoices. I have also claimed a few more Amazon vouchers from my survey sites that have trotted up nicely.

I have done a few product trials ranging from food to household goods such as dishwasher tablets, cat food, and beauty products. It all adds up to over £1500. It doesn't sound like much, but small wins are great!

Anyway... Enjoy Halloween tomorrow if you celebrate it.
