Garden Looking Pretty through the Window!
Other
What is happening to the weather at the moment, I think I need to start planting more spring/autumn flowers, as I prep my garden for entertsining/enjoying the outside space for the summer and this year's its a rarity I get to spend the day out there....instead a quick glimpse at my beautiful flowers and get back inside before it rains!!!
Anyone else feel like they are missing their garden this year?
Ours has just about gone as not been cared for for about three years, for first time been out there a few dftrenoons to pull up sea of nettles! So enjoy yours it could be worse!
Sarahvwomble oh dear, gardens are such constant work, I swear sometimes weeds pop back up as I move along the flowerbed de-weeding. I think i would have more than a sea of nettles in 3 years.
vixe80 on last trip out discovered a lot of cleavers and bramble everywhere too! At least some fruit for birds..and me?!
I must admit that as long as the grass is cut and the bushes are trimmed we don't bother about the garden. It is a place for our son to play and have fun.
I’m pleased with the garden this years. It’s lush and that’s down to all the rain we’ve had. Bumper year for beans too.
My daughter has taken over my greenhouse this year as I have been working more. She has done really well and we have a lovely display of flower plus she has been growing lettuces from a lettuce, peppers and strawberries from our own seeds which are all doing really well.
eyeballkerry wow that's great, always lovely to pass on the gardening gene! I try with my children too
vixe80 They were never interested when they were younger but my daughter is 22 and suddenly got this urge to start growing things, forgot to mention the tomatoes and also she has grown pumpkins from seeds and the plants are enormous already.
Yes. Mine is ruined as the weather hasn't been great so I've not kept on top of it. The joys of the British Summer!
Midnightflower - i am glad im not the only one who due to weather hasnt been out there, it certainly seems to be a worse summer than usual though!
MelissaLee1 - I love that. I must admit I did have to do potting up in the rain, as my poor plants were desperate and it was relaxing
Gardening..did I hear right...I totally love getting outside and being able to cut my flowers and pick the vegetables but the wind and rain are battering them..even my cats are sitting on the window sills wondering what is going on x
