Too Good to Go
Other
I've used too good to go a few times manly Morrisons and Greggs as they are the closest ones to me and honestly I can't complain about it some of the food we won't eat so it gets passed to my dad anyway I joined a group about too good to go and oh my god some people expect loads of stuff or they moan they didn't get what they wanted in all honesty I dont think they have understood the whole idea of it or just entitled
I've seen those posts too. I don't do too good to go as there are only a few places in our town that do it and always sell out quickly. I can understand being annoyed if you get a whole of one type of veg and you can't freeze it but I agree that some of the complaints are just ridiculous.
I get stuff from my local Greggs nearly every week and even one item is worth more than the price of the all.Anything I don't like I share with my mates or feed the birds in the garden. It's a no brainer. Some folk just like wingeing innit tho?
MelissaLee1 of course they do lol I'm sorry but some of the complaints are a joke
Leannexxx One week I got two boxes of doughnuts as well as four baguettes, three pasties all for £2.49.The next week only 4 rolls and one box of doughnuts.Time to complain?Er I think not.I'm not getting any thinner lol.
I know exactly which group you are referring to. People on there seem to think TGTG is a way to find bargains rather than to save on food waste.
RegularComper91 that's true I like a bargain that's why I use it for Greggs but I would never go on social media to moan about some of the stuff I got
I’ve read about Too Good To Go and think it’s great not wasting food. I appreciate you don’t know what you’re likely to receive but it’s only costs a few £s so it’s worth the gamble. There’s no one local to us who’s part of scheme unfortunately.
We use TGTG quite often. Had one from the bakery yesterday which was ok. At least I've got a custard slice for elevenses.
We're coming up to close to 100 bags now and most have been ok. Starbucks has been the worst by far. Had 3 bags which didn't hit the RRP and the food was stale. No problem getting refunds though.
Had a few strange bags from Aldi. One was 20 pints of skimmed milk, another was 32 cupcakes and there's no forgetting the bag with 18 bags of rocket and an overripe avacado in it.
I don't think some people realise the incentive behind it tbh and that it's about not wasting food not getting loads of valuable stuff
Pfft what’s there to complain about? At least you are getting a good decent amount of foods for a very cheap price!! Ffs if you don’t like the food is it’s mostly desserts pass it along to your family and friends or even a neighbour which they will be happy to get as a gift
jam45 I see well that’s your opinion which is fine, others may not feel the same and will be grateful, if you don’t like what you get in the bag, then it’s simple don’t buy it, the whole point of too good to go is that foods don’t get thrown away and sharing foods with family and friends nothing wrong with that
It is amazing what some people expect for their money. In general I have been very pleased with things I have received when using Toogoodtogo. I did have a toby carvery a few months back that was a rip off as it was all veg, one tiny slice of meat and no roasts or yorkshire puddings. I did feel they took the mick with that so complained and did get a refund.
Ive only had a couple of bad ones. From Morrisons- one was fruit and veg but over half of it was literally mouldy.
I dont try as much now as people seem to wait on the app like trapdoor spiders ready to pounce as soon as a deal comes up lol
