Hairless 'Bullycats' Bred in the UK Have Health Issues, Do Not Buy One

In the News

When i started reading this story i thought it was some kind of joke, or some sort of AI photo trick

But people are actually breeding Xbully cats that look similar to the dogs

People are advised not to buy one of these new breeds as these Sphynx cats are bred with very short legs, putting a strain on their joints, and the excess folds of flesh can cause skin complaints

All adding up to agony for the cats and expensive vet bills for the owners

I just cannot see the point in breeding aggressive cats, it cannot be for home protection, although they might give a burglar a nasty scratch

And i cannot see a drug dealer showing one off on a leash as he walks down the street , not the same prestige as the dogs without the muzzle

I think they ought to ban them being bred , and issue heavy fines for the breeders to avoid these poor things suffering

Wouldn't want to bump into him on a dark night and in a bad mood T.Seriously though interbreeding is just so cruel to the animal as well.

Goodness me how cruel. The poor cats. I really don’t understand why people do things like this. Why mess with nature. So sad

reannsgran Unfortunately this has been going on for years. Crufts has a lot to do with this as people want the perfect dog to shop. Crufts come across as animal loving but far from it.

eyeballkerry I did hear things like that about crufts. I am a massive dog lover and couldn’t bare hearing some of the things that went on.

I’m so soft with my dogs…. In fact I’ve been sat up all night with one of them as he has a bit of a bad belly !

Jinky67 I think it's some humans that need cross breeding J, not the animals
