Halloween
Ask a Question
Am I too old to Celebrate Halloween, my husband thinks I’m going back to my childhood? But I tell him “Times were too hard , to be a child,” I must add although there are no children living here my great grandchildren are here quite often.
No one, not even a partner, should dictate what you should or shouldn't enjoy as long as it's within the realms of decency, inoffensive and legal. If you can afford a bag of sweets and a couple of decorations in the window you will have grateful kiddies flocking. (If that's what you want).
Lynibis I couldn't agree more! You don't have to even have children or related to any children to enjoy being the lovely kind lady who is offering up a safe place for trick or treaters to knock!
Some adults even throw Halloween parties, adults only... so it isn't just for children.
There will always be others saying you shouldn't celebrate it if you are older, if you aren't a certain believer or you aren't doing it for the 'real meaning' etc. If you enjoy it and it's all legal etc. YOU DO YOU CarolNettle! People need enjoyment in life. No one should tell you otherwise, partners should be supportive of their partners.
It’s up to you. We don’t as don’t have any children in family any more but understand if you have grandchildren.
No you do what you want, no one should tell you what to do & you can enjoy Hallowéen with your great grandchildren if you want...
Do what makes you happy, if you like kids coming over in their Halloween costumes and seeing them smile and offering sweets to them then do it!
CarolNettle that’s nice just seeing and doing the smallest things makes you happy then do so!!
Whatever makes you happy, if you enjoy that’s totally down to you. We enjoy Halloween in our household
Never too old, my wife decorates the house from top to bottom, yes we have young children but even if we didn't have them, she would still do it
Do what makes you happy. I personally don't like Halloween so I don't celebrate it but if that is what makes you happy then celebrate it.
No you're never to old to celebrate Halloween. Love Halloween . If you like Halloween enjoy it.
We don’t put a sign up saying no trick or treating but we don’t have children living in our close.
