Hardest Person in Your Life to Get Presents For
Ask a Question
What is your relationship with the person in your life that is hardest to find the right Christmas present for? Personally I think it's usually dad's just wondering if that's true for most people
JLouM I uses to but too many times I'd buy a gift and then they would ask for something and instead of saying we already got you something OH would say OK. So ended up saying you sort it then
My mum or dad probably. With my two kids it’s easier because I know it’s just the usual stuff being kids and that’s toys etc but mum and dad is a tough one
EKWilkes89 my kids are easy. I used to find mum rather easy but lost her few years ago. She would also help me find something for my dad
It's my dad I'm stuck with lol I got him slippers and air fryer for his birthday and my brother is getting in a ninja oven thing so I don't know what to get
Auntielettie I ban buying things near Christmas in my house. If you want it tell me and I'll buy for Christmas
I find that my parents are quite hard to buy for but particularly my dad. However this year it has been very easy to buy for them.
Imnotcheap I managed to stop them buying bits just in time and have told them I will get it if they wait
Swimmer94 I do that at home. Unfortunately my dad doesn't listen he also rather particular about what he wants
Imnotcheap it never normally works so hopefully you will be lucky one year too . Next year will probably be extremely hard.
I think older people are. My in laws and OH grandad are really hard. They judt tell us not to bother, they have all they need. We just end up doing posh food hampers and a decent bottle of Whiskey.
Glitterandgold unfortunately I’ve had gifts I would never use! So food and drinks are welcome.
Glitterandgold I had trouble with all the older people on my list really but dad's proving to be the hardest as usual
Imnotcheap not uncomfortable but unfortunately. Some items binned rather than donating to a charity shop as they know my husband because he drops things off to them
Pjran maybe go a charity shop further away. I'm lucky my partner is good at buying me presents. My daughter always knows what I like too
Pjran Well I'd sooner spend my money on a hamper and drinks they'll get enjoyment from. If we bought anything else we'd only get told off tbh.
My dad and step mum. They are impossible to buy for never know what to get them. Thankfully we do secret santa and we have to tell the family on a list what we want
Jerseydrew that's a good idea. My side of the family is small with me not having siblings so wouldn't help me
I agree. Dad. He has everything, and when you ask him what he would like he says nothing. I end up buying him vouchers
PayItForward if I ask he will say brandy but got to be the right brandy from aldi. Last time I got wrong one
I’d honestly say it’s actually myself, i never know what to spend my money on and so can’t really expect anyone else to know
I would say it's probably me, I'm very particular with what I like or dislike and know i'm very hard to buy for.
HEDGEHOGS I'm easy to buy for if in doubt johnny depp or Guinness collectable. I got full set of supernatural books for birthday so I've said no books till caught up same with diamond art ️
My mum is the hardest person to buy for. For a few years everything we purchased for went back even though she had asked for it. One year she asked for kitchen tongs so I got her thongs instead
eyeballkerry how did that go. Or was that what she really wanted. My dad ended up asking for something he thinks will be a £1 although I think more. He said I can get more than one but I'll still have to find something else
