For those who have both read the books and watched the films, which do you think are better?
I prefer the books as they cut a lot out for the films (if they put everything in from the books it would have been a bit too long for film!) but the films are fantastic on their own with a great cast.
iv never read the books. watched the first film and thought it was ok not a massive fan but can see why some are,
Books are 100 per cent better then the films. The films miss so much out. But I do like the films.
Read the books and watched the movies. There is a lot of what the movies have skipped out on. The books are a lot better in my opinion.
I don't understand adults who are into Harry Potter. It's a kid's book, for goodness sake.

I honestly never got into Harry Potter, LotR, Star Wars, GoT, but I know they have massive fanbases and since they're not harming anyone, good for them.
I know it’s cliched but books will always be better than the films based on them. In a book there’s so much more time to flesh out the details of the story and you get to know the characters a lot better.
