Heinz Baked Beans Have Gone down Hill.
Other
Just open up a large tin of Heinz baked beans. And I was shock there was more juices then beans and they have changed the taste has well. And they tasted all full. I will not be buying them again. Have you noticed the baked beans have more juices and a diffrant taste.
Yeah I agree that's why I do my own baked beans from scratch at least u know what's in it & it's more healthy natural food
I still like them, but I now mainly purchase the Heinz Five Beans in tomato sauce cans. Sainsbury's produce a similar product, but it's not as good.
They are very runny and less tasty, I agree. I wrote a comment on this many moons ago as I had a tin of Heinz tomato soup which tasted nothing like it used to. It is a way for the manufacturers to make more money: Just cut down on the amount of certain ingredients and the saving is massive when you are selling millions of items per week. Trouble is, the price keeps going up too!
I must admit I am Heinz all the way, but again will only usually buy when on offer but they are still better than any of the others. I dont mind Branston though if they are on a really good offer.
I have always had Heinz beans and have tried others but always come back to Heinz but the last tin I had did not taste right to me, so have they changed the recipe?
I have noticed that tinned tomatoes don’t taste the same anymore. Not really noticed the beans.
Just opened a tin of Heinz baked beans and have also noted that the juice is more than it should be
TerryBoseley you need to put salt on
Them and cook to the beans break down a bit and they will taste like they used too
I'm not very fussy about baked beans pretty much all of them taste great to me. The only exceptions I can think of is years ago when Safeway were about they did beans where all beans were all crushed at one end and the sauce was all at the other end and some Lidl beans that had a weird flowery taste but I've since tried Lidl beans and fine nowadays. Sometimes shops change suppliers though as I believe there are quite a few factories knocking out baked beans so they might change occasionally when contracts change.
We gave up Heinz beans a long time ago and buy Waitrose own brand or Branston ones. Also the Waitrose soups taste the same as Heinz.
I hate when they ruin good products. I use to like luzocade but I can't have stand it since they changed the recipe.
Midnightflower I completely agree with you - what did they do to the Lucozade original!
I stopped buying Heinz beans about 15 years ago. Branston launched their version in 2005 but it took me a couple of years to trust that they would be any good. Never looked back as I prefer their flavour.
Most companies change their ingredients without telling you and say new and in improved but it never is.
Pfs 7up "Free" for example just doesn't taste as good as the original.
They use artificial sugar and it changes the taste.
I don't eat it very often so wouldn't be able to tell, but do like good, well warm baked beans.
Heinz Baked Beans may have decreased in quality, yet it wasn't in stock for my monthly delivery by Amazon.
Heinz Beanz were never my favourite, I remember when I was younger my mother always bought HP beans they were in a red labelled tin and they were excellent, but when they changed to a blue label I thought that they were too watery so I've been buying Branston ever since as they have much thicker tomato sauce.
I disagree with the negative Heinz Baked Beans reviews. I don't care how much sauce or beans is in a tin. I always buy Heinz!!!
supermarket own brand tastes basically the same
why pay 6 times more
not worth the heinz brand!!
I buy Heinz reduced salt n sugar beans but only when on offer. I used to avoid multipacks but stopped when I noticed fewer beans but more sauce to make the weight up. Now the single tins have hit 85p each and the same issue. A clever but devious practice. Shows how they view shoppers.
Yes I was thinking the exact same about the Heinz beans thats the only ones I buy but have been reading about the aldis beans so they are on my list my next visit
Bought a 4 pack of Morrisons Baked Beans today (£1.14 )- see what they are like ? Always had Branstons before now (£2) . I'll let members know ! Can't be any worse than the watered down Heinz (£3 )! That I used to like - but no more !
The amount u pay for a can of heinz compared to the supermarket brands with just a slight dip in quality ud choose the supermarket value ones
I used to lI’ve Heinz baked beans and sausage but the prices are going up . I haven’t ate beans for a long time .
beverleydoyle79 ..Morrisons have BEAN charging a whopping £1.99 for a can of Heinz but you CAN buy their own brand for 89p, I always explain to the person I support the price difference so they know..
Seen on the news www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61978595 Kraft Heinz are having a spat with Tesco over pricing , so all Kraft Heinz products are disappearing from Tesco shelves as no restock .
As Tesco say there are plenty of alternatives . Wonder how many loyal Heinz Beans buyers will return to "watery" Heinz beans after trying out a (probably much cheaper ) alternative ?
Shooting in the foot comes to mind .
Heinz S&S price (was £2.55 now £3.40) has gone up so July will be the last month considering it's not as good as it used to be.
Even Amazon's S&S doesn't do much saving at all, if any.
I would definitely recommend the lidls simply baked beans there 22p a tin and taste as nice as other brands
Yes agree. I've had a couple of tins more sauce than beans now. I will swop to another brand, after years being a loyal Heinz shopper.
I always have Heinz beans and have noticed more sauce than normal. Also the price has shot up. £1.20 a tin now. I bought a tin of Asda own brand to try at 40p a tin. Will do the same with soup, £1.40 a tin.
I agree. Just trying to find out why. Probably cost cutting. Won’t be buying any more of them. supermarket own brands from now on.
I get heinz but only cos I get them subscribe and save. Yes there's more sauce. We don't have aldi or Asda where I am.
I purchased six tins of heinze beans yesterday for £5.50. I've only ever bought heinze, but reading these comments I will definitely be trying other brands.
