What Exciting Ideas Can I Use to Celebrate the King's Coronation?

Ask a Question

My daughters pub will be hoping to celebrate the Kings Coronation. Have you got any ideas what she should do. We will be having bunting up. But need fresh ideas. We will be serving food, again fresh ideas that will bring customers in. Open to all your ideas please.

Could you include a bit of competitive baking or cooking? Cookies, cakes, pies etc. Based on the theme of the Coronation?

I'm not sure how health and safety works with this, if they can be eaten or not, but if they can share them out, you could all enjoy them after judging.

Prize could be a meal or a certain amount on a bar tab?

You can 'crown them' king of the cooking?

Could you also include a tombola? Local businesses could donate a prize.

Maybe the addition of a face painter available, again coronation themed.

DeBunny Unfortunately due to health and hygiene we are not allowed to involve people in cooking. It’s a shame as I wanted kids to decorate pizzas at Halloween but it would not have worked. The kids were allowed to decorate the bases outside the kitchen but all ingredients had to be in individual bowls for each child. It would not have been cost effective. I like the idea of a tombola. We have done raffles before and they go down well. Thanks for your reply.

Pjran This would be a good idea. We could have adults and children competition. I like the idea of worst dressed, bit of a twist. Thank you for your reply.

Have you got a garden? You could hire a bouncy castle for the kids, do face painting and have a barbecue with music.

Street party or group of neighbours for a party type thing. If its family friendly go on twinkl and print off coloring sheets there's freebies on it.

The close that I live in will have a bit of a street party, everyone contributes food wise and you take your own drinks, there's ususally a bbq going and music playing, a good atmosphere.
