If anyone lives within reasonable travelling distance of Colchester you may be interested in the link above. I go whenever I can to the Roman/Medieval festivals and I see there is a re-enactment siege in August. Your kids will love this and will definitely be useful for their school history lessons. And the icing on the cake is a competition on facebook too.

I always wanted to go to a re enactment when i was a kid, colchester is a bit far from me but maybe i’ll look when the jousting etc is on at warwick castle
