What Do You Do With Travel Souvenirs?

Ask a Question

Do you buy souvenirs from your holidays and what do you do with them?

I don't buy souvenirs typically, but I do like to keep ticket stubs etc from activities I've done whilst traveling. The problem with this is they just end up in bags in a draw.

Does anyone else keep this kind of thing and if so what do you guys do with this stuff? Any suggestions of what to do with it? (I tried doing a scrap book but it didn't really work).

Imnotcheap ditto, the side of my fridge was covered with them until recently then I decided to put them away in a shoe box and I guess someone else can, in the future, decide what to do with them.

I always buy a beer stein and a Christmas bauble from every new Country I visit.

It can be a bit tricky trying to source a beer stein in a predominantly Muslim, or wine drinking country, but I usually manage.

However, for some reason I could find neither in Sweden last Christmas.

I would buy something for the home as a reminder from holidays whether abroad or uk. The biggest was a couple of rattan chairs from Madeira.

I have no more room on my fridge for magnets and I have a collection of tea-towels from family members’ holidays.

I still got the postcards, tablecloths (still using them), tea towel, mug, bus tickets, calendar from years ago. I keep mine in the display unit drawer.

Little mugs or trinkets to remind us where we went or unique items we can’t find anywhere else

I buy magnets and shove on the fridge. It's nice to have them and can use them to put stuff on fridge that we need to keep safe

I have about three magnets on the fridge and that is it. I don't go on holiday, even when I did I didn't usually buy souvenirs. I sometimes bought clothes or a pair of shoes, as I saw them as a practical item.

I haven't in decades. I usually buy something that I can actually use like a great massage ball from Bondi in Sydney, Australia (used weekly for about 20 years) and a shot mug from Cuba with a fellow sniffing a fat cigar on it (have sipped from this many times a year for about 15 years) 😃

I used to buy souvenirs years ago so now I have a collection in the loft. So now I don’t buy anything when I go away. I take a lot of photos though.

My mum collected fridge magnets so when I started going on my own holidays I followed and now the fridge is full 😂

You could put them in memory box frame, and make an attractive display or even have a memory box table
