Are You a House Flipper? Any Advice on How to Get Started?
Ask a Question
Its always been on my bucket list to flip a house. I adore the house and the area we live in so don't want to leave our house. I would like to invest in another property and give it a go. Any advice to a complete beginner? Books I should read, things i should know etc? Many thanks.
No, by I watch all the shows, but I am not handy. I think to make any £ you need to buy at the right price and do a lot of the work yourself or where possible get mates rates.
If you need to bring in trades people, make sure you can trust them, and be honest with yourself when you need to get trades in, have them lined up so as soon as you purchase the property, so they can start straight away to get the property back on the market/rented. Scheduling delays cost £, so order materials in plenty of time, get insurance, so if anything happens you are covered.
Save £ where you can, sales etc. buying materials.Make a plan what is the most value add, normally kitchens and bathrooms, but don't forget curb apeal.
I'm sure this is nothing you weren't already aware of, but Good Luck
SaveMeSunday I think if you really want to do it, go for it, but maybe get some rudimentary skills, maybe in plastering, electrical or plumbing, I think you can go on courses and it will save £ in the long run plus there is a shortage
