Housing Crisis

Ask a Question

I've just read a news feed about a mother who's in a two bed flat with her two boys and she's moaning saying she's been on the housing register for 10 months and still hasn't got anything she wants a 3 bed house so her children can play in a garden I'm I wrong in thinking she's seems to be very entitled? Firstly she would only get a two bed anyway and there is a massive housing crisis I've been on the housing register for 3 years haven't come close to getting offered one yet am I moaning about it no

I've seen stories like too. I personally would just be happy that I had a roof over my head and would make the most of it. A lot of people seem to be entitled these days. There aren't enough houses to go around, unfortunately not everyone is going to get exactly what they want. A family member of mine lived in a one bed flat with their partner and 2 kids all in the one bedroom. Never moaned as they were just grateful to have somewhere to live. They eventually got a 2 bed house. Kids had to share a room, they never once complained. They were just happy they had a home for their family.

I was on the housing list for over 15 years. Then I met and married my husband.I only got single tenancy after he died.We were married for over 14 years and living together for 5 before that. But for him I'd probably still living with mum or sofa surfing.
